If everyone else there was "generally drunk & stupid" well then... maybe YOU are fucking clueless as well about WTF you were doing there. BotH may not always be "your fave venue", but nonetheless, they (sometiimes) book decent bands, and it sure beats the fuck out of going to Slim's or Warfield or Fillmore as far as "intimacy" goes right? Stoop being a hipster douchebag suburbanite...

the one time I went to this venue I had a bad experience. guy at the door was a drunk douchebag, complained about lighting up a joint outside (at a psychedelic show, nonetheless). everyone else was generally drunk/stupid. not my kind of atmosphere.

Nice place if you want to see some underground stuff and emerging San Fran bands, plus the sound is pretty good.
