Hey Winny, (going by your profile here, didn't wanna go HEY AEON!) Sorry for the lack of updates. Been really busy with school. Ive spent some time listening to Miseration and Few Against Many. I really like Few Against Many, really dirty production that's similar to Torchbearer's first album. As for Miseration, I dunno, I think I just got to give them more time. Not really latching on to me. Of course I told you, I'm a huge fan of Torchbearer! Love their newest!. I'll give Miseration more time, I feel like I'm missing something here. Enough about me, how are things going with you? Any summer plans?

Giving all those bands you suggested a try. Since this is a lot of music, I'm gonna do my best to juggle schoolwork with music haha. Thanks a lot for the recommendations!

To be honest, it needs more time with me. Fell asleep the first few times I listened to it. I miss Christian Alvestam, these new vocalists aren't doing it for me.

Hey, hows it going Winny? Thanks for the add btw. I see that you listen to a decent amount of Chinese Pop. Out of that part of Asia, I haven't gotten into pop from that country. Any suggestions?

I was reading about the latest Wacken Open Air in a magazine I get the other day. I would have almost killed to go. We don't really get anything of that magnitude here. We get a few good festivals around the US, but none I have been to that seem to be as large and varied as Wacken. Anyway, hopefully in a couple of years you'll be able to go. Then I will be jealous...lol. And I hope you punched the bastard out?

It was awesome! I could not hear well for 3 whole days afterwards! :P \m/ Anyway, the lack of rest, and just hot sun with a 15 hour car trip just killed me about. Headache flared up and made me a miserable traveling companion. Still was great fun and might do it again next year. I've never seen Excrementory Grindfuckers before, but some of their music is pretty good. I'll be seeing Immolation later this month, and preparing to see Nile again this year. Easily one of my favorite bands.

It was pretty good. Besides Abysmal Dawn, I saw Deceased, Dekapitator, Night Terror, Kylesa, Vesuvius, Book Of Black Earth, Coffin Texts, Athiest, Obituary, Anal Cunt, Worhorse, 7000 Dying Rats, Brutal truth, Pig Destroyer and quite a few others I have done forgotten about. Although I did not get a lot of sleep and got really sick on the way back home...lol. Prices are not too bad here, although it just depends upon where you look I suppose.

This is true, but sometimes you cannot always see them next time :p For example Isis. Just a couple on months ago they did their final show... wish I could have been there. :( But yeah, you can't go to every show you might want to. Yeah I know Abysmal Dawn.. they are great. I have both their albums. "From Ashes" is their best in my opinion. I saw them at Murderfest here a couple of years ago.

I can agree with that. There are a lot of different sounds and styles within Death metal these days... from Brutal Death to Melodic Death. Have you tried listening to !T.O.O.H.! or Duobetic Homunkulus. Some really good unusual death metal there. And yeah, sometimes staying home is the best bet, but still sucks to miss out on a lot of really good bands.

Yeah, I'll give them a listen in a couple of days and let you know what I think. But by the way things look, they are probably pretty good. I enjoy Black Metal quite a bit, as well as Gothic and Folk Metal. I see a quite a bit of different types of metal in your playlist,.. what particular genres do you like the best? The shows and such are not too expensive here, but some of them just are not that good with small venues or unruly crowds. You have to drive a few hours to get to some of the good shows. We tend to have a bigger country music and alternative rock scene here. Metal not nearly so well.

Yeah, it is, but one of those things. The festivals right around here are really poor mostly. You have to travel up north a bit for anything really good. Not really familiar with either Zonaria or Carach Angren. Just went and checked Carach Angren out though and they look awesome! They are a local band for you? Maybe you will get to see them soon. :)

Dunno. Just something I have noticed. The other day it was Leaves' Eyes that was canceled. In this case just something came up for Leaves' Eyes to be unable to finish their tour, but in a couple of others the venue just canceled, either to low ticket sales, or possibly some sort of outside pressure.

Really? How were they? And cross your fingers that I get to go... several concerts have been canceling this year.
