Oh shit I remember you, forgot your username on that board. I don't go on there anymore, place is a cesspool. if you disagree with the majority of people on there you get bullied or humilated. that's why I left.

thanks for listening to Arseterror...that's my project. its more like a mix of HNW and power electronics nowadays dunno why so many gorenoise fans like it, I mean I like gorenoise its just odd to me considering the subject matter and political angle. its been years since I've gotten a physical release for Arseterror but one is on the way. as far as physical releases, I have way too many jewelcases and records clogging up my room, I just get shit nowadays off bandcamp and amazon.com.. anyways, nice to meet you and add me if you'd like.

Wow, I do not that sort of dedication. I have faced that scenario once before and I just couldn't quite do it. I thought about it though. I am jealous of your dedication -- and also am fortunate that such an issue does not face me.

Hello! i've noticed that you scrobbled Dokkaebi Assault!!, i'm looking for that band and other ones from South Korea (I've already listened to BAN-RAN, Scumraid and The Geeks!) , but since i'm from Chile, it's quite difficult for me to get them via shipping or by other ways. If you want to i can send you some music (specially punk) from South America !, greets!

I have been very obsesed since I can scrobble over the 3G network and it seems like it is always just perfectly up to date. It is rather amazing, really, and now that I am finding some very legitimate interest in some of the classics (being old and mellow enough to appreciate it, and I guess maturing to some degree) it is interesting to think about enjoying a whole new genre for me,from start to finish, with last.fm documentation.

The other person had an identical problema nd the problem was specifically with some of their obscure artists never scrobbling or turning up right away, and then just turning up in the library / played tracks list like 24 hours later. This is apparently some sort of website issue that, while annoying, does not bother me because as long as these eventually turn up I am happy, and, more than that: I am sure that this issue could be resolved sometime soon. I will keep you posted because, honestly, this is kind of interesting to me -- and I need someone to understand my misery as a person obsessed with my last.fm account and my scrobble history.

    mars 2013
  • jmverville

The plot thickens: I finally tracked someone down with a similar complaint and they said that their missing scrobbles magically appeared 24 hours later... I recollect that like 2-3 dayss ago when scrobbling from YouTube that certain tracks would not appear immediatley and I figured it was an issue with my YouTube scrobbler... But, I went back (it has now been two or three days later) and these tracks were now scrobbled -- as they had occupied a block of 3-4 hours of time and I immediately switched to black metal from classical, I was able to deduce perfectly that the missing tracks were indeed those ones.

I do not have time to figure it out tonight (just going to watch a film with the girl and go to bed), but I will update you... It is sort of a mystery. Tell me if you think my theory makes sense or if you have any other possible ideas. Have a good night and thanks for helping inform me what you see and what is going on on your end. :) Hopefully they will just somehow magically appear overnight.

Perhaps people used to get around the '30 second tracks don't scrobble,' and wanted to get a SUPER HIGH PLAYCOUNT for an artist, and they would mess with MP3 song length tags so that it would register as a full 3 minute song when in reality it was a 2 second song on repeat... And to prevent abuse, the last.fm client no longer recognizes MP3s with strange VBR errors. This is the only theory that makes sense to me at this point and I will do some more experimenting with it but... This might be a good hour and a half of splitting MP3s and tagging them meticulously wasted. However, if that is the case... I will just be happy to have fixed it.

    mars 2013
  • jmverville

I have a theory... The tracks that scrobbled were all the tracks that I split up first from the MP3. At that time, I was using the 'drag & edit' feature, which took longer and was a bit more trying... Then, I started to just input numbers in the editing process. There is a chance that this might have affected the MP3 information and thus these MP3s have some messged up song length message that causes them to, I guess, send an alert to last.fm.

  • jmverville

It is very weird. I checked to make sure that the format was right and I checked to make sure that all of the metadata was right... I literally can find nothing that can distinguish them from the other MP3s. I might post an inquiry in the forum.

    mars 2013
  • jmverville

Dude... I just was able to scrobble two tracks from regular MP3s that dependably scrobble, and then these MP3s are just not scrobbling... I have a theory that there is some bug with the tagging, because the tracks that scrobbled may have all been exclusive to a specific batch but.. nonetheless.. this is distressing.

    mars 2013
  • jmverville

Aw, OK. The reason that I am particularly concerned is that I found some hard to get classical music, downloaded the MP3s from YouTube (done before), and then I split the long symphony MP3 into the 3-4 parts of the symphony as it was labeled (never done before), and then fixed the VBR files on the MP3s (done before, and it worked fine). I noticed that there was a period of two hours or so where it seemed to work out but,ah, now it isn't and I am paranoid that something is messed up.

    mars 2013
  • jmverville

I am having some issues with scrobbling at the minute -- they are appearing in my 'scrobbles' history of the desktop app, but they are not appearing on the website. I was hoping that you would be havng the same problem as you are on right now... Do you think this could have something to do with with a tagging problem or something?

Hey man, I noticed you listened to the new Enbilulugugal, "The Day After". Trying to get some feedback on it but nobody seems to want to! What do you think? How's the sound? Is it too harsh? Can you make out the instruments at all? I have heard it a million times the last 3 years so it sounds good to me, plus my stereo is pretty good. Trying to get others opinions. Hope you don't mind!

You're supporting the bands that asked me to put their music up for download by listening to them. Still support, though it may not seem. As for Enbilulugugal shirts, they're coming next year with a special release. Not sure about hoodies, I have to talk it over with the label. I'd like one myself! haha

Thanks a lot! Yes, the tracklisting for tracks 7-12 is correct, but tracks 1-6 were tagged as "untitled". I remember someone mentioned Ruined on our old RABM forum (which is now defunct), but I'm not familiar with the Korean metal scene at all. Is this project worth checking out?

    juillet 2012
  • Black_Kronstadt

Yes, I know "Anti-Religion" consists of two demos one of which has a proper tracklisting and another one hasn't. Of course I'd be grateful if you give me the complete tracklisting. And yes, I remember you, thanks for the support!

the 2만5천원 show is distressing. It is the "thing" that is happening but it is kind of like... Why so much? I wish I could somehow advocate cheap shows productively but now I no longer even have an active band to theoretically play the cheap show I would host.

We just needed them on our degrees and what not before. Luckily the FBI will graciously do this for us, hopefully in less than 6 months haha. If I could make a trip to the Embassy, I wouldn't be complaining either.

    septembre 2010
  • MaggieMassacre

I'm not opposed to the idea at all, and I agree it makes sense, I just think it's ridiculous that people seeking renewals have to follow their ridiculous rules. We can't even have it run through the consulate, it has to be directly from the FBI. Fingerprinting here should be interesting! We also have to get an apostille, lots of trouble from so far away!

    septembre 2010
  • MaggieMassacre

Really? I've always been told I'll have to leave. At any rate we Americans have to get FBI background checks starting the first of the year (which take at least 3 months) which is seriously causing me to reconsider coming back a second year. That's a lot of unnecessary work for a renewal in my opinion.

  • MaggieMassacre

I can read...really haha. I haven't done much traveling within Korea yet, but I do know the difference. You don't have to go on Visa runs? I understand re: British life. America is often quite lame, but it is home and I know there is no way I would last here in the long run. I'm too outspoken to stay in Asia :)

    septembre 2010
  • MaggieMassacre

I think that's probably a fair argument, but for nostalgia's sake I keep them as a unit in my head haha. Daegu, huh? I haven't actually been there. Hopefully in time you'll adjust and it will feel like home. If not, maybe you can try and get your old job back next year haha? I don't think my culture is superior or anything like that, I just want to have as few issues reintegrating back into American life as possible when I get home. My language skills are already suffering (I blame that on the kindie students and teachers who speak Konglish). It will be interesting to go back eventually and be in school again after being abroad several years. How often do you visit home?

    septembre 2010
  • MaggieMassacre

I'm pretty sure Wu will be destroying the competition from the old folks home someday, no worries there. You must like Korea! I plan to stay a second year but fear any longer and I will lose all sense of my own culture haha.

    septembre 2010
  • MaggieMassacre

True, but some are more G than others. Wu Tang could totally take G Unit down in 3 seconds. Wow, that's a long time. Well, maybe not since time seems to fly here. Do you plan on staying much longer?

    septembre 2010
  • MaggieMassacre

Nas is a g, literally. How long have you been in Korea?

    septembre 2010
  • MaggieMassacre

Rakim's latest "The Seventh Seal" is super good. Ghostface's first album came out when I was 8, that's why I consider him a throwback haha. Though Nas has always been my favorite, he's in the top five. I have some pretty questionable taste in music but BFMV is terribad (saw them with Trivium years ago) Never got into Lostprophets either. I hope to visit Wales when I'm in Ireland next year, I hear it's a cool place.
