Great musical taste! I need to check out some of the artists in your library. I'm curious to know what you'd think of my friends' band, MANKIND. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bedN-v9QMwc They're actually coming to Germany for a tour pretty soon. The dates and places are on their facebook page! Cheers from Sweden

Saw you on the Insolence page about what albums to listen to. I suggest the "Within" album because it has alot more of a hardrock side to the band and it is my second favorite because of that. The sencond I suggest is the "Revolution" album wich is my favorite out of all of their albums. HAve fun, I'm sure you have gotten a lot of shouts from this though :)

Thank you :) Try Mezarkabul (especially albums Anatolia and Unspoken) and Hayko Cepkin (not totally metal, with some electronic inspiration, but uses growls a lot) . By the way, Müslüm Gürses is good also, you should try it too :) ahaahha.

I'm glad to see that The IT Crowd is pretty well-known... I have never seen it on French TV! Oh you're totally right I have a seen-live-list of a German metalhead because I live not so far from the border and because the two real metalfests where I went were PartySan and SummerBreeze... I also really wish to see (again) Gojira, because the first time I saw them I didn't know and love them as much as today... I saw Shining two weeks ago, it was an excellent performance, with a lot of emotions. But imo it would have been better if the singer had shut the fuck up ("I hope that you Germans will go back to Poland" for instance) and didn't hit his musicians. It didn't really bother me because I take what he says and does with a pinch of salt and above all I pretty much don't care. But what I mean is that's taking away some beauty from his depressing music... Anyway, I hope you'll be able to experience a Shining performance soon, it's worthwhile! :)

À propos de moi

that's me, although it's an (5 year) old picture, from an inactive older site of my not inactive girlfriend, who just finished her Bachelor of Arts in communications design:

~25 years, studying physics, singer, guitar/bass-player.
Had some trips on playing keyboard and programming music too, but it didn't feel right.
For the rest there's nothing special you have to now.

now lets talk about what's crucial here:

music.

no genres. no subcultures. pure taste.

in my whole life i've had spend too much time in discussing with people about why i prefer 'handmade' music and do have a favour for 'bands'.

i don't wanna do it again here. i simply filter music as the most people clearly do too.

"when does music feel right to me?"

i am actually always interested in where the music comes from. i think it's not possible to clear this question in a few sentences, but let's clear this one thing up once and for all:

i. hate. programmed. music.

Music should be handmade, not programmed, although i respect every kind of songwriting.

i do know that we got a lot of more important problems on this world -.-'
but that's not why i'm here.

so .. welcome to my naive world of music.

..and remember:

'tags' rhyme better with 'fags', not 'facts'.

last but not least, and as a part of the loss of creativity (seems like as if i feel kinda bored) - bands I have seen live:
