Well, the image is actually a white hart, which is a symbol used on a lot of old British drinking houses, that image in particular is from one of King Richard's who used it in his coat of arms. The white hind poem is actually a french folk tune a version of which is the Malicorne track La Blanche Biche on Before the Spring pt II. As for the symbolism of the white stag "the image of the white hart or white stag is found in the Arthurian legends, as well as legends from Celtic and other cultures. In some of the stories the animal may appear as a reindeer or a unicorn. The appearance of a white male deer is said to be symbolic of the presence of the divine". I'm glad you are enjoying the playlists, did the new one download in the right order? i haven't checked it myself...

À propos de moi

Before studying Zen,
men are men and
mountains are mountains.

While studying Zen,
things become confused.

After studying Zen,
men are men
and mountains are mountains.

After telling this,
Dr. Suzuki was
asked,
What is the
difference between before and
after?

He
said,
No difference,

only the feet are a
little bit off the ground.
