interesting music and attitude :) You are so right about people thoughtlessly listening to music. I might be intolerant but these ppl seriously lack of something very important there. Now that they year is coming to an end: what was your musical highlight? greets!

I first off got into music from my father who was a Disco Dj in the 70's. From there I moved from Post-Punk, Dream Pop, and Shoegaze. About two years ago a friend told to me check out a electronic movement called "Downtempo" with bands like Christ, Milieu, and Tycho. From there I've been digging through record stacks and all that other jazz to bring me to where I am now! Thanks for commenting back! Cheers and all that jazz, K.d.W

Likewise! If you don't mind me asking, how did you get into your style of tunes?

Well, I'd have to definitely say Ghostwriter, Final Frontier, and Good Times Roll Pt. 2. But Since We Last Spoke is amazing, too. He was so awesome live... it was ridiculous. I almost kidnapped him. ha.

Your avatar is kind of indie steampunk... didn't think that could be possible, hence good job! From your ''About me'' seems like we have quite a bit in common starting with music genres. So I'm adding you as friend in the hope you'll be sending recommendations my way :) Oh and thank you mister -.^

À propos de moi

only the finest 128kbps fhg-encoded mp3s that sound great over any high fidelity audiophile system

I listen to a wide range of music genres, but I can't abide people who extol the line that they have no clear favourite. It shows a lack of enthusiasm for music in general. So, to that end, my favourite music genre is electronic, mainly the downtempo sub-genre. I'm also partial to a lot of hip hop (but no misogynistic/homophobic shit, please), Trip-Hop and turntablism. Feel free to leave me a shout about any sort of music. I'm eager to discuss music with anyone with like minded interests.

I only really listen to lossless sources (CD rips, FLAC web releases), but will put up with mp3 if there are literally no other alternatives. I cannot actually A/B a FLAC and a high quality mp3, but I am astoundingly OCD about the quality of my music, and storage space has become less of an issue in this day and age.

The equipment I use isn't at all remarkable, but I'll list it for completion's sake:

Speakers: Low end 2.1 Philips computer speakers.
Headphones: Audio Technica ATH-AD700 Open-air Dynamic Audiophile headphones.

The reason for the low end speakers fall under two different reasons: 1) a lack of money, and 2) respect for my neighbours. A decent speaker set up should never be used in an apartment setting, as it's just rude to those who live above or below you. People who blast music knowing they might be disturbing other people sicken me. Music is not a weapon or an expression of how anti-social you are.

I am very pleased with my headphone set up, however. As time goes on, they will undoubtedly wear out, but the AD700s have done me very well for 9 months, and are the best set of headphones I've ever owned. I thoroughly recommend them if you're looking for a set of high quality headphones for under $100 (on Amazon.com, retail price: $249.99). Beware though, if you're a "bass-head", their accurate sound stage may not be your cup of tea.
