I can see why you can get some songs caught in your head. I agree with you but Blur seemes the same about it.

I feel the same but I find most of their non singles to be weak. They just seem like a blur ripoff - what made them great. Ever listened to Blur par song 2?

May I ask why you like Kaiser Chiefs?

I nabbed Great Truckin' Songs of the Renaissance from a /mu/ sharethread and fell in love seriously instantly. I think I have everything by them's hilarious, I'm just some small town dweeb in the Northwest of America, and I'm obsessed with their stuff. Praise Boognish and the gospel of Deaner and Gener!

I don't even care that we're on separate continents, man, you've got a Boognish avatar and we've got super compatibility. and that of course means our music taste is superior to any other

I saw him in England last year. Took a train from London to Stoke-on-Trent. One of the best nights I had in Europe. I cried and was crazily overwhelmed for most of it. Never thought I'd get to see him, with rumoured retirement + him hardly ever venturing to Aus. And ja, seconded on the extra pants front ^^

Why thank you, just don't dig too deep - there's a lot of fairly uncool stuff in my library as well hehe. And can't wait for Moz on Wednesday! Should be awesome!

I'm beyond happy for Paul Simon! He was on my dream line up list!! I would be super excited about Robert Plant as well as LZ are one of my all time favourites but I actually went to the Clarksdale Sunflower festival in the US this August just gone so got to see him perform on a tiny stage about 30 metres in front of me! Very surreal.

I am going! I bought tickets in the early bird release back in March :) Glen Hansard and The Frames is almost worth the entire ticket price for me. I probably would have flown down to Sydney for their sideshow if I wasn't going to Bluesfest. Frames are an all time favourite for me. I'm pretty fortunate in that my crew pre-purchased their tickets as well so I am already counting down the days!

Awesome! Your experience sounds similar to mine! My highlights - Sublime with Rome, Seasick Steve (x2), The Specials, Trombone Shorty, John Fogerty, Blitzen Trapper, James Vincent McMorrow and The Pogues! I had to laugh when I read your story!! I felt that I got to live out some kind of classic 'dream' where I lead a whisky filled cheers that resulted in whisky flying in the air, almost in slow motion haha I wonder if you were anywhere near my friends and I as we also created a mini mosh of linked arm swinging and dancing with a few randoms!! Very sore head the following day that's for sure :| Whether was perfect, our campsite had a awesome undercover communal area and we were in a brilliant location. Post Bluesfest Blues for sure :(

There is so many artists I'm looking forward to seeing - Sublime with Rome, Mat McHugh, John Fogerty, Lucinda Williams, Donovan, Seasick Steve, Blitzen Trapper....How about yourself?

Actually, apparently they're playing the Friday too, but without The Beards. But I should get onto buying tickets for the Splendour sideshows also... Also, hi :)

Oh man, I've got a lovely party that night as well and I haven't decided yet! Haha, but my dad will be there, he seems to be a huge fan of Magic Mick and used to watch to Playschool with me when he was on. I hate missing The Beards too.

i must admit i hit 'attending' more as an expression of my desire to go rather than an established intention to fly to byron... it would have been nice though i read pretty bad stuff about dylans set :(! ah well. morrissey fanatic may be an understatement.. have you seen this?
