Sun 13 Feb – The Bravery + Transfer
I arrived at The Ruby Lounge before doors opened and was privileged to catch Transfer sound check before the gig. At 8.45pm Matthew Molarius, Shaun Cornell, Andy Ridley and Jason Cardenas graced the staged welcomed by screaming from their fans on the barrier. It’s great to see Transfer’s support of fans growing. I think Manchester had the most ‘babies’ at the tour so far, which you could see they were genuinely thrilled about.

The set consisted of 7 songs, most of which came from their debut album 'Future Selves'. Front man Matthew Molarius approached the iconic microphone during the opener of ‘Losing Composure’, Transfer’s debut single, which immediately sent the crowd up into a storm. Followed by songs such as ‘Like a Funeral,’ drummer Andy Ridley’s favourite ‘Wake to Sleep,’ with Shaun Cornell’s true rock and roll style on the keyboard and the genius guitar solo from Jason Cardenas during the final song ‘White Horse,’ Transfer definitely made their mark on the evening.

It’s very rare to find the support act is better than the headliners, but for Transfer this was undoubtedly the case. Since touring with Brandon Flowers, they definitely have grown more confident as a band. The connection they have on stage with each other and the crowd is incredible. You can see that their all truly enjoying every minute, which unfortunately isn’t found in many bands these days.

Transfer weren’t The Bravery’s only support, as they were also joined by The Royal Chains from New York. Adam, Ben and Dan clearly have the formula for something big, would love to see them back in the UK soon.

After their set, Transfer were kind enough to meet and have drinks with the fans who had come from all over the UK, to witness what was an amazing evening, and turned out be the best gig I’ve ever been to!

Transfer are coming to the end of their UK tour with The Bravery this week in London, but are starting out on 21st February in Paris on a EU tour with White Lies, be sure to check out the tour dates at .

It was all part of everything…
