I've been between Sawdust & Diamonds, Baby Birch, and the Ys Street Band version of Cosmia for forever. Gah, she's awe-inspiring.

Haha thanks a lot dude! I try to explore music and crap like that. I've really only started listening to a wide variety in the last maybe 1 1/2 years or so. Oh yeah, and I lol'd at those bieber pics in your description. Real nice, bro.

Nice! That's funny. Yeah they're not touring except to do two or three festivals until their next record comes out, near the end of the year I think. They always do at least one U.K tour so you should be all set.

Yeah, I've seen them live twice so far. Once in a big amphitheatre and once in a small club of about 400 people. The smaller shows are better because they tend to open up more. You should definitely go to a smaller show if you're interested. Their banter is hilarious. You could spend a lot of time on Youtube just watching it, heh. I just watched a great one from a Fopp Instore in London where they talk about NME and cocks. Looking at your plays, it looks like you loved a Sara song, so you're probably right. On Sainthood for example, Sara's songs are On Directing, Red Belt, Sentimental Tune, Alligator, Arrow, and Night Watch. Paperback Head they wrote together. Sara also has two acoustic bonus tracks that you could probably find if you're interested, Wrists and Light Up.

Ha, yeah it can be hard at first. Very generally, Sara's songs are usually quirkier and Tegan's are more straight-ahead indie-rock or pop. Appearance-wise, Tegan almost always has a labret piercing on her lower lip.

Yeah, that's true. Their view is interesting. I don't know if I fully agree or just partially. They mean no harm I think. Have you had the chance to see them live? I recommend it. I saw them here in the Netherlands. A really beautiful performance.

This is the link to the interview with your quote, This is the open-letter from Efrim, regarding the interview, also with my quote. Or did you already know this?

I got into them not long after Sainthood came out, in like Jan. '10. Then I went and got everything they did. Even if The Con and Sainthood are probably best, This Business of Art, If It Was You, and So Jealous are still really good. Sara's songs on So Jealous are killer. I also have a weird love for This Business of Art personally, even though it sounds really different than say, Sainthood. I'm anxious for a new album too. But a DVD and a live CD are coming up soon which should help tide over until they release new material.

Yeah you're probably right. I should scrobble those off my ipod. And I also like how much Tegan and Sara there is, but at the same time I kind of want it more balanced out. If I add my ipod plays though, that number is gonna double at least, lol.

Yeah, I do. I have a bad habit of listening to music in my car or at work on my ipod but not when I'm actually sitting at my computer. I'm trying to do better now, heh.

I saw you left a shout on the Battles page about Tyondai's solo material being "nothing special".. I see you listen to ASMZ, GY!BE, Radiohead, etc so I know you're no stranger to more "orchestrated" music...I implore you to give his most recent album "Central Market" a go. I think if you give it at least a HANDFUL of listens, you'll find something redeemable about it :)
