I read some Allende a loong while back, should read some more of her - Neruda's WONDERFUL. It is probably cliche but my all-time favourite is always Borges. Lately I've been getting into Fernando Pessoa (to shift continents!). Lorca is one of my all-time favourites, too. And do you know Cecília Meireles? FANTASTIC.

Camus is wonderful -- I love Myth of Sisyphus and his Notebooks especially. I actually have poets reading their stuff on tape and even vinyl that's not on last.fm -- Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, T.S. Eliot....Salon.com offered the COMPLETE Dylan Thomas LP collection as free mp3s on their site years and years ago, and I snapped them all up. Yeats is the best.
