It seems that music artists of today are trying to incorporate the popular sounds of the 50s and 60s into their music in order to produce hits (i.e. Amy Winehouse "Rehab", Sean Kingston "Beautiful Girls"). Being a fan of remixes and mashups, Im diggin these "new" tracks. The fact that these songs feel so familiar to music lovers could be the reason why they are gaining popularity. However, not everyone feels the way i do. "Have they run out of ideas for music?! How uncreative! Now they are just repeating stuff that has already been used before!" I can see some truth to that. They are re-using hits from a different time to promote their music. But its a shame to think that music should only sound a certain way. Enjoy music because of the way it makes you feel!
