Congratulations for the many wins (especially the Poster of the Year one!). Too bad I wasn't there to see all of you collect the awards :P. You were great, and your interview was good too!

Finally got 'Circus'. Not a patch on 'Blackout'. But we all knew that was gonna happen. Did you catch the Girls Aloud Christmas Party? Looks like "Love Is Pain" is the next single.

She does remind you of Shirley doesn't she? And speaking of Shirley, she's taking quite some time to complete that solo album. Are you a fan of Lilian and the silent era too? They're my most recent fixation (after Mrs Robinson and her like) :P.

Haha the ginger quotient. You know me better than I know myself. Looking like a long winter for ms. wintour. Could be the end of an era, and just in time to start yours yes? haha.

Do you like new Lily Allen? The whole cds done by Greg Kurstin (genius!) so I have high expectations.

Haha, nice. GA music videos never fail to impress. Totally makes the song better. Nadine is looking really good in this one. And Nicola! Contrary to popular opinion, I think Nicola is the hottest member of GA. Reading about her tribulations of being the "ugly" one kind of breaks my heart.

So after listening to Ulysses, I'm not in love yet but definitely impressed. The song really escalated, and Alex's vocals paralleled it well also. The album is shaping up to be dandy based on the two songs I've heard.

Ugh. I don't lol. I've been hard at work trying to improve the quality of my library and I snatched up a torrent of GA's disco. Assuming scrobbling was disabled, I *updated* my spin count on my iTunes library--obviously I assumed wrong. Though I must say, 100 Different Ways isn't properly valued amongst the rest of GA's balladry.

Actually Libertines are my 4th most played, Babyshambles 6th.. Pete <3 Is the latest Dandy Warhols album worth checking out? I have been put of by the average reviews.

Haha yeah, I've been listening to a lot of minimal dub/techno lately. Lots of Richie Hawtin, Basic Channel, Chain reaction...reliving those halcyon days. As for seeing that video, I haven't because it's been pulled by youtube! Booooooooo. Plz send it again if you can. Anyways, hope you had a good turkey day!

I immediately got into Out of Control; it goes with the mood of the season I guess. There were times however when I wished a song as exuberantly manic as Sexy! No No No would pop up. Untouchable is a real gem; it's calling out to be a single. Although the length of the song is a bit gratuitous; a minute less would make more of a terse but cogent experience imo.

Yes, I heard about that a while ago. The debut was pretty good and there was a couple of great bsides. The 2nd album is what killed them. And Carl said he expected the Babyshambles not to last very long!! LOL. Down In Albion put you off Pete, didn't it?

I sort of had the feeling they were heading towards that direction. I noticed Tangled Up had more mid-tempos than usual, and CTS was the biggest hit from that album. I listened to "The Loving Kind" yesterday; I like it, sort of an improved CTS, it exuded genuine poignancy. I think GA isn't ready to give up their high octane past though, they're akin to a blank canvas, they could traverse through anywhere in the pop realm imo.

Haha, Little Boots! Have you seen this horribly awesome GA cover she did of Sexy No No No? (a.k.a. the toughest GA song to cover, ever?) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7V1zk8sZhk4 Big ups for trying it I say.

Alright, I'm starting to think that Maltese video you sent me was actually from like...5 years ago haha. It's uncanny. Although they have that GA config, I think they sound an awful lot like the Sugababes. "Up" is pretty good however this other tune of theirs "If this is love" is totally where it's at. It kicks off with some wonky Harold Faltermeyer synthline and well...I'M SOLD.

Love Is Pain > Life. I really, really love We Wanna Party. Oh Circus is good, but certainly no Blackout. 2 of the bonus songs are the best - Rock Me In and Amnesia.

It's been getting pretty impressive reviews so far, I'll definitely download it soon. Rough Trade was awesome; High School Confidential helped pave the way for a lot of the sexually-charged songs now.

Woah. That was pretty impressive. A little weird I guess because of the subject matter, and their age. But damn, these kids picked up the tune pretty fast. I mean, the album is barely even out. If not for the commentators at the end, you really couldn't tell this was on some Maltese TV show.

i'll definitely check it out! ah, yes, our affairs... they have fizzled a bit. i am obsessed with richard hawley, a certain ratio, and liquid liquid. damon has a chinese opera?! that sounds incredible i'll have to look it up. i'm actually part chinese even! why does damon always seem to disappoint graham. doesn't he know he's a sensitive soul. yeah, but seriously i am obsessed with liquid liquid even though i only have one song.

Haha, that video was actually quite informative, although I sorta felt like a 14 year old girl in a lunchtable clique while watching it. Thanks for the tip about the OOC deluxe version. I haven't bought it yet because I'm still reeling from a purchase I made earlier this month. Plus the economy is ugh. But I'm looking forward to affording it...eventually! haha
