Hi....noticed you're listening to Tank Girl. Well....just yesterday I watched the movie Tank Girl inspired by the graphic novel Tank Girl. So....which came first? The band or the graphic novel? Either way, they're both cool.

Yep, Vancouver on the 28th of June, leaving from New York on the 28th of July. I'm definitely going to try to squeeze in a fair few days in NYC at the end of the trip. I'd love it if you had a bit of time to show me around. But I forgot to ask what your Ted Leo news is! What's going on?

Oh man, there are so many great albums coming out at the moment (most of them heavily featuring 40+ dudes, for some reason), I think I might have to wait a bit on Brutalist Bricks to not get overwhelmed with new music. Internet is up! Also, in the next couple days I should be booking a ticket to Vancouver, with the plan of working my way through Canada and over to New York during July this year. Maybe I'll see you at some point? Fingers crossed!

Haha, I think you're overestimating my Ted Leo nerdery. I did pounce excitedly on "Even Heroes Have to Die" as soon as I saw it, and I felt a pretty strong urge to lick the screen when I saw the cover art, but I haven't actually heard anything else from the new one. I'll definitely check out that live set when I get back to Orange and the internet-that's-not-in-the-uni-library though. I'm in the process of getting actual internet hooked up to my house, and after that I'll be indulging my Ted Leo/Propagandhi/Weakerthans fetishes to my heart's content, so expect a fair few overly-excitable messages about acoustic versions and demo recordings that are barely distinguishable from the ones you've already heard.

i know a few open source nerds (the lovely person below included) so maybe i should do that. the sick always strikes when it's least affordable. my sister suffers from crazy back problems during times of peak stress, which made her end of school exams hard. she's done now though! hope you're done soon too and... oh i was just about to wish you a good summer. damn. good holidays then!

Oh wow, you tracked down pretty much my online visible online presence! I just got done with my exams, so now is a good time for talking and typing on the internetz, although I also have some other, real-life stuff to do before I zonk out and do nothing for the next three months (did you learn the word "zonk" while you were in Australia? How's the Australian slang knowledge going?) Anyway, good to hear from you. I think I'll probably be heading overseas sometime in the next year or so, and at the moment it's a toss up between Norway and the US, so I guess there's like a 50 per cent chance I could be seeing you soon? Who knows, anything beyond the next couple weeks is usually extremely fuzzy for me.

I wanted to go so badly!!! I was so close, and then the people I was supposed to go with didn't feel like coming up/were too drunk the night before and woke up late :( I saw them at 131 Tompkins on New Years Day, though. Easily one of the best shows I've ever been to. I also saw them open for Bridge and Tunnel at Generation Records, which was fun.
