Thanks for the reminder about Tweens. Had listened to a couple tracks on a random play new music Tuesday but did really catch my ears for whatever reason. Listened to the entire recording last night. Great stuff. Will definitely have a few more plays next time you stop by. Thanks again.

Thanks, rockrobby69, but this is the real me speaking, not my dog who usually makes shouts. The quality of his shouts have definitely increased since switching over to Purina Lamb and Rice. His coat is gorgeous and his ability to dig out that little morsel of a rare observation of a great band is unmatched. My dog is named Janilfer and he loves to play fetch and listen to Fleetwood Mac's Tusk. He's also a convicted killer (that's what my lord told me in a dream) and I have to hide him when my cousin, a police officer, visits my little bucket near the lake. My cousin and I don't listen to the same music, but we do have similar believes regarding dog-care (which breaks my hearts since I have to hide Janilfer from him).

I agree. My three favorite sets were Dead Meadow, the Black Angels and Black Lips. I discovered Woods there and am now in love with them. Acid Mother's Temple had a killer light projection show on the trees at the Elevation stage.

Cool to hear that APF was awesome. I went in 2012 & 2013. Might go to Liverpool Psych Fest in Sept... and hopefully back to Austin next year!

Austin Psych Fest - what a great line up! Sounds like fun. Is that really far from where you live? Are you gonna fly?

Well I'm proud to be in that elite number of Guitar Gable listeners. BTW have you sen the new HBO (?) series True detective. Wow. set in a freaky part of Louisiana, that's certain.

As it happens, I work with several labels of that nature - so I have the friends, but they are not here on Last.fm

Hmm - not really.. http://www.last.fm/user/reedit listens to some (Isolee in most recent, and DJ Koze in top 20), but most appear to play none or only bits and pieces in passing. I don't know her, but http://www.last.fm/user/tralalapff looks like she might be a good jumping off point.

You and I appear to be simpatico re: Berberian. It reminds me on the Tindersticks s/t for Nenette et Boni, in which it's the right band for the right material but in trying to adapt their work in a cinematic sense, they have to abandon their own musical narration skills. What you get left with are little chord runs and vibes that have to sit still and cannot run around. Good news, though: From what I've heard, there is enough Trish material in the can to make one last bona fide non-soundtrack Broadcast album. Regardless, I hope James continues making music.

À propos de moi

The facts we hate...

It's so sad to see the world agree that they'd rather see their faces filled with flies, all when I want to keep white roses in their eyes.

Butterfly, there's only so much wine you can drink in one life and it will never be enough to save you from the bottom of your glass.

Who will mourn the passing of my heart? Will its little droppings climb the pop chart? Who'll take its ashes and, singing, fling them from the top of the Brill Building?

I'm afraid that no one around here comprehends my potato.

...we'll never meet.

This was my band: Sleepy Company
