Yeah definitely an act. He's still got the weirdest sense of humour though. He'd like end up saying something to me and then do a hell serious face and just glare at me then begin laughing and patting my back. Took a while to adjust to it. I was just happy because I asked them to play 'The List' at Laneway because I was obsessed with it at that point in time and Ariel was all like "no no no no we haven't played it in years" and Tim was like hassling him to do it. AND THEY DID IT and winked at me at the end. Happiest moment to date. Yep. My life is pathetic.

One of my friends told me, re: Woodland. Someone is buying out Woodland and Mustang apparently. I met them the night before Laneway. I was at Alhambra cause Les Savy Fav were doing a DJ set (fuck I hate that place though) and sitting on the platform was a dude who looked exactly like Ariel and I was like nah that's not him and then I saw Tim and the others and I was like holy shit. Introduced myself basically embarrassed myself by telling Ariel he was the best musician in the world and then we had some gin and tonics with them. Was pretty awesome, they were all totally different to what I expected. So sweet and quiet.

Yeah his sound could definitely pull off Woodland but maaan I've seen some shitty shows there. Combination of the punters and the sound but probably more the punters I'd say. Yeah this year's gig was amazing, I met Ariel and the gang which meant that my mind was pretty much blown for the whole day. Sad that Woodland is closing :(

Hahaha that's distressingly bad. Melbourne's definitely better than that description.

That's pretty keen! I respect it though. I'm not really sure what to say about the Melbourne venue though. It was easy to get to. The main stage fine, pretty typically festival-y atmosphere-wise. The Riverside stage was really chill and I loved it, except that there was his small ditch near the front (more like a depression...? I don't know, I'm not a geologist) which was annoying sometimes, but that was probably due to the torrential rain beforehand. Then there are some other stages. But yeah, no real complaints. Come to Melbourne! I can't imagine how epic M83 would sound live, so stoked. Girls too, dayum.

Yeah most of my friends made that decision too, because we were all at the front at Yeasayer, so I wouldn't blame you. The 2012 lineup has made me ridiculously happy and I'm trying to ignore the thousands of clashes that are bound to happen. Wallowing in ignorant bliss right now. Good work on the Twin Shadow front.

Gosh darn. Deerhunter were playing at the same time as Foals here so that distracted most people but they were well worth it. Amazing segue-ish instrumentals between their songs. I would've loved to see Ariel Pink, but I can't remember what I was doing in the meantime...possibly seeing Yeasayer. I actually walked past Ariel after his set and just thought he was a weird old guy in gold tights. I was so ashamed I didn't recognise him. I'm surprised, Victoria Legrand was super nice in Melbourne too...well whenever she talked she seemed really spaced-out which suited their music I guess. It was a good day. Hopefully tomorrow will be, too.

Impressive snooping on your part! A friend told me Laura Marling's been confirmed, so I'm already frothing at the mouth. But yeah, clashes are the death of me. I figure you went to Laneway this year too, then? Who did you see? Deerhunter and, of course, Beach House were beautiful.

it's kinda something like this http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-snc4/41573_52895218644_1328_n.jpg but made of neon... actually it's nonsense from a song of mine written when i was way too much into happy days and all the bands called themselves neon something. you can find it here http://www.last.fm/music/perfect+pop even though it's not officially 'out' like i spam it everywhere and tell my friends i'm actually producing something

Haaa no problem. Already got them. I saw her in May with Sleigh Bells and we were in the front as well. It was probably the best night of my life. Jealous she let you sing!!

Yeah I ended up having a friend go that night, so I thought I might as well spend the $20 and come along. I don't know if they've improved since you saw them, but I actually really enjoyed it. They all seemed to be having a good time on stage and the crowd was really getting into it as well, I'm glad I ended up going.

Absolutely, when it first came on I was thinking that they might just be playing a part of it or something. That's too bad about the people around you for the rest though, it's always a pain when that happens. I ended up around a pretty good group of people this time so I was happy. I loved Corner of the Sky too, all of the new songs they played were perfect really.

I loved it, I think I enjoyed it even more than when I saw them at Parklife (probably because I love every single song on Zonoscope). The last few minutes of Pharaohs and Pyramids were so great, and I was happy that they played all of Sun God. Definitely going to see them again the next time they come around here.

Saw your shout on Bliss N Eso's page and thought I'd answer it for you. For most people Bliss N Eso embody what most Australian's love, adore, and hold close to their heart - Partying, friendship, and unity. At least for me, and all of my friends, they do this. So I'm only making general assumptions for the rest of everyone who love BnE. Not to mention, their beats are catchy as fuck and their lyrics are a "head trip".
