Excellent taste in music Bath and Body Works

I work part time at my local Bath and Body Works. And by part time I mean an average of 3-8 hours a week. But now that it's known that I will take as many hours as I can get, I'm hoping I'll be working more. Or I get the job I had two interviews for last week.

I digress. Usually the music played at work is rather annoying, but it changed recently. It's better. The last mix had a ton of songs I got sick of quickly, but had Leap Year, Always Perfect and Asleep on a Sunbeam. There was a Jem song in there too, but I can't remember what it was called. I discovered Sarah Blasko through Taylor Hanson. I interviewed them at my college radio station and he recommended her. It made me squeal just a little bit when I first heard it. "Leap Year" moved me with its promise of waiting for you. I recently got dumped because he's been going through so much stuff lately that he couldn't pay me the attention I'd deserve. And so I will wait for him. I never got sick of hearing that song.

The music changed last week and it's completely different. Refreshing. And it's chock full of stuff ripped from some of my favorite songs, along with some things XRT plays a lot. I interned in their programming department and the only time I don't listen to them is when they play Coldplay. I've developed quite the dislike of them recently. Bath and Body Works had the Rhythms del Mundo remix of Clocks that got heavy rotation (which translates to about 3 times a day) while I was still interning there. There's been an onslaught of XRT music in this current mix and I love it. An Eluardian Instance and Chasing Cars are the two that stick out at the moment. Aside from Sarah Blasko, another very surprising song on the mix was Never Let It Go. I discovered her when she opened for Sarah McLachlan during my freshman year of college. I distinctly remember putting that track on a mix CD I made for my sister for her birthday a few years ago. Also, when I worked at the outlet store last night, their mix had Satellite. One Man Wrecking Machine was the single from that album, but I always loved that first track.

Being pleased with these gems on the mix at work solidifies my calling. Hell yeah, I could be a great music director. I knew of Matt Nathanson 5 years ago. Sarah Blasko was recommended 4½ years ago. And as I type this, I remember a guy I talked to at a broadcasting job fair suggesting I check out radio consulting firms for jobs. But it's rather late, though I woke up at 1 this afternoon. I should attempt to go back to my normal sleep pattern.
