I see you wanted to get into Colour Haze. You should get their latest album "Tempel" (2006, 8 tracks, 48 minutes) as a start; spin it twice and you'll definitely get hooked. Here's the last song from that album, just to give you a taste of it: Stratofarm. It picks up halfway and gets pretty heavy, don't get fooled by the laid back first half of it ;) They also have some massively impressive long jam songs like "Peace, Brothers & Sisters!". Once you feel ready for the full experience, get their other albums. They all deliver except for "Chopping Machines", which is more of a doom metal album than what they're known for.

Yes, a person running to the and singing the lyrics to modest mouse's "please bury me with it" would strike me as crazy person. But the song is awesome.

I only saw JJ on stage at a festival, but I envy his livestyle: either playing music or surfing, lot's of money and a nice family. Stuff he says in interviews also makes me think he is not the dummest person we have here. Cheers from Germany, Surfbum

À propos de moi

IF I WAS STUCK ON AN ISLAND AND HAD ONLY 10 CDs I COULD TAKE WITH ME (in no particular order):

1. Tool-Lateralus
2. Nirvana-MTV UnPlugged in New York
3. 311-Transistor
4. Smashing Pumpkins-MCIS
5. KoRn-KoRN
6. A Perfect Circle-Mer de Noms
7. Radiohead-Kid A
8. QOTSA-Lullabies to Paralyze
9. Mason Jennings-Bone Clouds
10. Incubus-Morning View

Take your top 20 artists. For each of these artists, collect the top 5 similar artists. The resulting number of unique artists is your eclectic score. If the score is small (extreme = 5) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80, extreme = 100), then you have an eclectic musical preference. You can compute your own score at http://anthony.liekens.net/pub/scripts/last.fm/eclectic.php

My eclectic score is currently

97/100
