29 juin 2012, 1h11mSo I was listening to some 90’s music and it got me thinking about the sort of music I used to listen to when I was little and how I’ve grown.
I think the first "band" I ever heard was Ace of Base my older sister had a cassette tape she would play over and over.
When I was really little, like ages six-eight I liked stuff like Poe, Tori Amos, The Smashing Pumpkins, Garbage. I had a brief Spice Girls phase and still say that Baby Spice is the best ever.
By eleven I was listening to horror punk and some post-punk, by twelve I pretty much listened to nothing but post-punk, deathrock, dream-pop, shoegaze, and some classic glam rock.
…and that’s pretty much as current as it gets because my taste hasn’t changed since then. Of course there’s the occasional sprinkle of ye-ye, synth-pop, punk, classical, grunge, psycho/rockabilly, and stuff like belly dancing music.
23 mars 2012, 22h28mCheck out my boyfriend's band Dialogue from a Silent Film. You can listen to them here: https://www.facebook.com/dialoguefromasilentfilm?sk=app_178091127385
If you like dark, shoegazey, post-punk music you may be into them.
