And to you too. Growing old may be inevitable, but growing up certainly isn't. Some of your friends have some pleasantly eye-catching psychedelic avatars!

Hi Don! I can help you here: http://www.absoluteastronomy.com/topics/Dudu_Pukwana -- Tell me, if the link doesn't work. When he went to Europe he played with many folkish bands, but as I can see he played '78 with the ISB! I am surprised as well as you are 'cause I love ISB for a long time too!

Bur I never grew old! haha....But you are right, I love diving into my seventies! And did you see? The whole morning and afternoon I listened to pure Bebop and Hardbop! ...... I found out that Dudu P. joined the Incredible string Band for some time...did you know? Many greetings from this side of the world!

Thanks for the appreciation of the new avatar - I was looking for a good one of Tony Benn at the time but this one just spoke to me

Don, those are genuinely strange sounds, and a bit eerie. I liked them a lot, and I must track down 'Sun Rings'. Nice to see another Partch fan below here too

Hi Don, ah well, that explains it! There is Elton Dean's Ninesense Suite on Spotify which includes the musicians Harry Miller, Harry Beckett and Louis Moholo, but for some reason it scrobbles to Last.fm as Louis Moholo as the artist. Two rather long tracks that I've not played through yet. Have you head this at all? One of my favourites http://open.spotify.com/track/6LmRdz2Kcih0OCyO8V0viG

You obviously noticed more than me Don, I was warming up in the tub at the time. So I've gone back & tagged it so I can hear it again some time. I've had Into Silence playing a lot in the car & it has been really growing on me!

Hello Don, good to meet you too. Yes the music of all those guys who came over to London with the Blue Notes really ought to be much better known, Dudu Pukwana in particular. Unfortunately I didn't really mature into jazz until it was much too late see any of them live. Did get to see Abdullah Ibrahim last year which was a real treat
