For a long time it was Storm. Then it may have been Static at some point and maybe East Hastings and I think Moya too. Couple of weeks ago it was the long, epic journey of 29 minutes, Providence.

But now my favourite gybe song is BBF3. And let me tell you how it happened.

It's been quite cold in Finland now (not that it's somehow unusual) and I haven't used my mp3 player in my car anymore, being afraid it would freeze overnight. Thus, I've been listening to the radio. And after getting sick of the (mostly) terrible selection of the radio, I once stuck in an old cassette (remember?) I found from my glove compartment. It was full of gybe.

Some days ago, while I was speeding home, I realized I was listening to a superb GY!BE-track that I had not heard in a long time. After I got home, I had to check what it was. It was BBF3 from the Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada EP. A track that I had usually skipped because I was tired of listening to the dialogue in the beginning (and in the middle), a dialogue that I was already so very familiar with. But I had forgotten, or had never realized it at all, how truly great track it was - is.

Many GY!BE tracks have a great climax that lasts for a minute maybe, but the climax of BBF3 lasts almost 3 minutes, from about 12:00 to 14:40. When listening to that, you can't help but to love the world - the world that made the making of such beautiful music possible - and then listen to the song again from the beginning (and sometimes to skip the dialogue by fast forwarding to the climax part).
