    10. Ima Robot - Dynomite (I've listened to that Ima Robot album a lot)

    [Other]
What is your favorite genre of music?: My favourite tag is "neato" if that counts.

What is your least favorite genre of music?: I can listen to most of them, but country tends to get on my nerves when driving in the car with my parents (though I do really like Garth Brooks).

Who is/are your favourite vocalist(s)?: Axl Rose, Stephan Jenkins, Kurt Cobain

Who is/are your favourite guitarist(s)?: I think I've listened to Slash, Buckethead, and Alex Lifeson the most.

Who is/are your favourite bassist(s)?: Geddy Lee and Les Claypool

Who is/are your favourite drummer(s)?: Neil Peart

Do You Download Songs Or Buy CDs?:I am a downloader

Mp3/iPod or CD Player?: I barely ever use the CD player, but I've been using the iPod kind of often.

How many band shirts/hoodies you own?:
    -They Might Be Giants
    -AC/DC
    -Rush
    -Guns N' Roses
    -Reel Big Fish
-Big D and the Kids Table
    -The Beatles
    -Nirvana
    -Judas Priest

What is your favorite band shirt/hoodie?: I've probably worn the Guns N' Roses one the most, but the Rush one is my favourite since it's the Moving Pictures cover.

What music posters do you have up in your room?: I have a Dan Potthast one sitting on my dresser. That counts because my room is upstairs, so it is up in my room.

Do you consider screaming another form of music?: I suppose. On its own it's not that pleasing to me, but something about screamed vocals is usually kind of cool.

What album are you ashamed to have?: I don't think I'm ashamed of any albums I got. Back in the day I thought I'd get made fun of for getting the Third Eye Blind debut album, but I don't care now because they're basically my favourite band.

Have you ever been in a mosh pit?: Only around 10 or so.

Last cd you bought?: I think it was my Ima Robot - Monument to the Masses one I ordered from HMV.

What song do you love at the moment?: I started playing Electric President - Insomnia a lot lately.

Most annoying song?: OMBERELLER ELLER ELLER A A A A

Current Least Favorite Song?: Uhh... I guess the most annoying one. Though Sojljers Boii is pretty... not favourite.

What was the last song you listened to?: I have Neutral Milk Hotel - Oh Comely playing.

Last song to be stuck in your head?: I forgot to check. I had lyrics stuck in my head but I couldn't think of the song name.

Do you listen to a variety of music?: I try to, but it's mostly just rock and alternative.

If you could hang out with a musician for a day, who would it be?: dunno lol

Why?: Because I don't really know what they're like. I don't want to be stuck with someone whose personality completely clashes with mine.

Is music important to you?: I find it entertaining

Could you live without music?: I probably would if it wasn't free. I sat in silence for most of the years leading up to the internet.

    Hello again.

I signed up for this site a year before last year. It has inspired me to listen to music of many different genres, and linked my to other music that I continued to enjoy. I've made 111 posts and this is my 12th journal. Only 2 journals having any real use.

My top 7 band listens are:
    - Rush 3047 times
    - They Might Be Giants 2763 times
    - Buckethead 2589 times
    - Guns N' Roses 2574 times
    - Jamiroquai 1958 times
    - The Smashing Pumpkins 1657 times
    - Ima Robot 1323 times

My top 7 song listens are:
    - Patience 362 times

    - Tonight, Tonight 204 times

As you can see, I kind of went through a Smashing Pumpkins phase. I believe I'm just exiting my Ima Robot phase as I write this.
Well if I don't get banned for making wiki edits they don't like, I'll see you next year as well.
  • Taste of Chaos

    16 jan. 2007, 20h59m

The Used, 30 Seconds to Mars, Senses Fail, Saosin, Chiodos, Evaline, and Aiden are all playing at the Rockstar Taste of Chaos. On March 31st, they'll be in Detroit. I kind of want to go, but not only will it cost over $100 for two tickets, I don't know who I would want to go with or how I would get there.

I need to get my license.
  • Wacky!

    5 nov. 2006, 21h41m

Everyone that has been reading my Audioscrobbler (just me) realize that my musical tastes have been all over the place. Jamiroquai, Guns N' Roses, Rush, R.E.M., Third Eye Blind, The Smashing Pumpkins, Blind Melon, Elvis Costello & The Attractions, and even more recently The Cranberries. The list goes on, but I don't want to make it too obvious that I'm just looking for connected music.

Well to get to the point, what's some other music I should get into that I'd probably like? What are my tastes classified?

    P.S.
Wolfmother, Everclear, Primus, Ramones, Death from Above 1979, Spin Doctors, Matchbox Twenty, and They Might Be Giants.
  • Childhood favourites

    15 juin 2006, 21h07m

When I was little, I used to listen to most of my music during long rides in the van with my parents. Even so, I began to get my own favourite songs. I'll link all of the ones I remember.

    Shake The Sugar Tree
I remember actually bugging my parents to play this one over and over again. "Play the sugar tree song!" Probably the first favourite song I ever had.

I'm in a Hurry (And Don't Know Why)
I used go to my friend's house who lived across the street, so we could play Pogs and Hot Wheels. One time when he went to the washroom I took his fake microphone, jumped on his bed, and started to sing this song. His mom smiled at me when she walked by his door with a big thing of laundry.

    Angels Among Us
Wow, I didn't know that 2 of my favourite songs were by Alabama. Anyway, I think this is also the first song that made me cry.

    Last Kiss
I remember one time I was at my cousins house, and my uncle picked up the guitar and started playing this song, then him and like 5 other people started to sing this song. The only song by Pearl Jam that I actually remember singing during recess at school.

    The Greatest Adventure
This one I actually heard on the cartoon movie "The Hobbit". I only got the movie from the library because I couldn't read, and I thought it was the sword in the stone. Even though the movie scared the crap out of me, I liked the song.

I've come along way since then... Guns N' Roses, Rush, Death from Above 1979 and any of my other recent favourite bands don't sound anything like Alabama.
