    I've returned it to the library. It reminded me of Vonnegut, and I don't like that sort of book. I did read 258 pages and enjoyed them for the most part. The weirdest thing is that, a couple nights after I started, I was sitting at a bar with my friend and mentioned that They took away my TV because They don't send the analog signal or something, so that I was reduced to reading. She said, are you reading the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle? But I misheard her and replied, "No, Murakami." She claims the last time we were at that exact bar she told me to read him, which I promptly denied. Ah well. I'm reading Shirley Jackson now, after a mis-typed web search led me to her wikipedia article.

    yeah, it's good to see people on last like yourself that are open-minded to all music. it seems like people get stuck in musical ruts, even within sub-genres and they get caught up on the most trivial things.
