Let's see... I'm from The Land Down Under and I'm very much into Symphonic and Power metal with my two favourite bands being Nightwish and Sonata Arctica. I definitely favour metal bands that use clean vocals over those that insist on yelling their lyrics, with few exceptions. I also enjoy a range of other genres, most notably Celtic and New Age.

Other than music, my other major passion in life is computers and technology. I'm a huge Linux and open source software advocate, though I'm not against using commercial software to get the job done. I do keep Windows around for gaming, but play so few games these days that it almost never sees the light of day. I have a mac mini - I don't touch it unless I have to (when writing cross platform programs), but I do have one. I do some programming, I do some digital graphics in the GIMP, I'm studying Software Engineering at the Australian National University as an undergraduate, I administer several servers, I'm obsessed about IT security and I love my Nokia Internet Tablet. Yep, that about sums me up.
