I've come down with the flu (not swine flu, just boring old ordinary seasonal flu) and am far too sick to do any japanese study today… let's face it, transitive and intransitive verbs don't make any sense to me even when I don't have a bitch of a headache.

So, I'm indulging myself with last.fm surveys and ayumi hamasaki PVs- the internet equivalent of chicken soup.

Since this is a stupid survey that i'm filling out for my amusement only, no artist links, so this doesn't clog up (possibly) legit blog entries on artist pages.

"Glider". I maintain that it is one of the most perfect songs ever written.

2. How did you get into 20? (Akira Yamaoka)
Through Silent Hill, of course… except I hadn't ever played any games in the SH series when I started listening to Akira's music. I just thought it sounded cool and creepy, and the SH2 soundtrack was pretty good music to study to (well, the more ambient pieces at least). However, once I actually started playing Silent Hill, I grew to appreciate the music so much more. Like, before I played SH1, I thought the song 'Silent Hill' was really boring. Now I think it's amazing and I was totally made of fail before.

3. Who is your favorite member in 1? (椎名林檎)
Saito Neko. LOLOLOLOLOL.

4. What’s your favorite lyric bit by 29? (Jon Brion)
I don't really like any of his lyrics that much, and I've only heard one of his lyrical songs ("Strings that Tie To You"). He's only so high on my charts because I constantly played the ETotSM soundtrack last summer.

5. Have you ever seen 22 live? (木村カエラ)
Nope. Probably never will, unless she's touring while I'm in Japan next year.

6. What's your favourite album from 10? (Sonic Youth)
Definitely "Sister"

No. Just her albums.

8. What is a good memory you have of 7? (Asobi Seksu)
Their music certainly makes me feel nostalgic, but I can't pinpoint any particular good memories.

I downloaded their album 'For Installation' purely on a whim since I'd heard such good things about them; it was instant love. (Mostly because of Kana's voice.)

I don't have any IRL friends who are into PJ.

"Winter"

I can't even remember… I *think* it was "Arabesque".

Um. I don't really like "Candle Stick"

Er, because she's a genius. :D I like her more recent, melodic, acoustic stuff better than her earlier grittier stuff.

I've been listening to them for as long as I can remember. Seriously. My dad was really into their stuff back in the early 90s, so I grew up listening to "Murder Ballads", "Henry's Dream" and "Let Love In"

Um. Six or seven years?

No. I've seen them twice anyway. (Both times they were absolutely terrible, I thought the first bad concert was a fluke… WRONG)

Pretty much all their music is happy. :D I really like "Christmas", "Radio", "Lucky Pool"…

Well, I love "Pretty in Pink", but it's not really a single- more like a 4-track EP. But it's really quite wonderful. I haven't listened to SSKHKH in so freaking long, I really should put them on more often.

I don't know. I don't really have a favourite FotC song- they're only so high on my charts because I listen to their radio series all the time. xD

I can't even describe it… (my favourites are "Reverie" and "Icicles")… I suppose they remind me of white, silver, under the water or in the snow…
