Shit, its nothing on yours. Probably the first time I laughed out loud at someones "about me" section. I recognise some of the quotes there, too. Have you, by any chance, read "High Society"?

Hey dude! Cool profile pic, it has a real Drew-Carey-on-acid feel to it. Who'd've thought there was someone else out there who enjoyed Miles and Portishead and Squirrel Nut Zippers?? Very psychadelic! :)

I just noticed your comment in the Giving War a Chance journal. I really miss the "Reply Tracker" function of the old site... I can't find anything like it on the current version. I've read Klein's Shock Doctrine. I'm hoping the Dems will uncork their own version of it in response to the financial meltdown and general disgust currently directed at Republicans. I'm skeptical that they have the philosophical backing to do it - and i doubt " unchecked free enterprise" will bear any blame for current troubles - but I'm hopeful.

Yeah I've heard that track... definitely a good one. I'll have to go with the predictable by saying that my fav scott-heron is the revolution will not be televised.

The dept of homeland insecurity is at least a little bit ridiculous. It persuaded a San Fran grocery store chain to turn over to it info about everyone who purchased terror food - you know, anyone who bought say tahini (which is absolutely delicious, btw) or whatever was regarded, and presumably investigated, as being a possible insurgent. Gotta love those store cards. Anyway... Recoil... Control Freak reminded me very much of Romeo void (which I consider to be a good thing) - I assume you've heard them - I think I will check Recoil out further. I'm listening now to the album that Camilo is on. I was going to link you to some Poison Girls tracks but none of my fav songs are playable... squirrel nut zippers have been recommended to me previously... I should check them out.

As of late, too many Americans live in fear. In the Washington Post, it had stated that 53 people were put on the terrorist list for being part of peaceful protest groups that are against the death penalty or the war in Iraq. The local police force in Maryland put a 14 month surveillance on these members. The chief of police stated he did so because homeland security told him to do so. This is a fine example of terrible things to come. I would like to think that I am not the only one willing to stand out and stand up. I have hope that this entry will be passed to many. All it would take is people realizing that they are not alone and stand together. Not just here at the home front, but globally. This infection, if it hasn't already, is going to spread to every domain.

I read your Greed and Writing on the walls journals, and I couldn't agree more. More bands should follow Radiohead and Trent's ways of thinking ... the 'pay what you want' idea was a good one, too bad it was short lived.
