I'm pretty indifferent to it. I have a hard time seeing the wow-factor (or generally any point whatsoever) in playing Sorrow 105 times in a row. :)

It appears I gave you incorrect info on the Daughter release. I swear I read from various sources that it was coming out today. I'm wondering it it came out today, just not in the U.S. The iTunes store has it available for pre-order but it's not available until April 30th.

*sigh* I love Daughter. In case you were unaware, their first full-length album is coming out next week.

Ah, yes. I was also an Alan Jackson fan and saw him in concert. But Reba was my absolute favorite. :)

Aw, I listened to Mary Chapin Carpenter a lot when I was younger. I went through a phase where all I listened to was mainstream country. :) Re: New Josh album: It grows on me more and more each time I listen. I instantly loved Bonfire and Joy to You Baby. However, I tend to like Josh more with a bigger band sound and I tend to like his songs that are about huge themes that we can't wrap our heads around: Thin Blue Flame, The Temptation of Adam, etc. So a "divorce/heartbreak" album from him will probably never become one of my favorite things he's done. But I'm still diggin' it. What do you think? I see you've only listened to The Animal Years and The Beast in Its Tracks. I'd recommend The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter if you haven't tried that album yet. It's one of my favorites.

I'd love to think I am their biggest fan! I love classics like Ah Mary, Stop the Bus and Mr. Columbus but already have played their new album more than the others. :)

Yeah, I also discovered Hush long after I had that album. I'm glad I found it. :) Lilo is doing well. I, on the other hand, am sometimes not doing well. I pretty much cry on a daily basis because taking care of a puppy stresses me out so much. Hopefully that gets better. *sigh* And I didn't change her name. She strikes me as a Lilo.

I bought the puppy today! I get to pick her up this weekend. :)

It's funny you mention Brandi. I also think their "accents" sound similar. And for the longest time I thought that was Brandi singing with Lindsay on the song You, Anniversary. But it's Amy Ray. And Brandi and Lindsay are featured prominently on one of the Amy Ray's albums. Anyway, I gave The Bone People 5 stars. Keri Hulme spent years on that novel and I could tell. It felt like every word was chosen with purpose and I adored the language of it. It's definitely painful in spots but totally worth it.

Lilo's foster mom just has to do a home visit to my apartment and then everything should be good to go. I'm so excited! We've had family dogs before but this is the first time I'll own my own dog. I totally understand what you're saying about depressing music being a comfort. Another reason why it comforts me is that I've always had a hard time putting my feelings into words. Depressing music helps me have those light bulb moments when I'm like, "There! Exactly! THAT'S what I feel like right now."

Here is the Lindsay Fuller album: http://www.sendspace.com/file/a4iajd "One More Song" is my absolute favorite. It just takes me to a different place every single time I hear it. She's depressing, that's why I adore her.

While I'm waiting for this dang thing to upload for you, I'd like to tell you that I am in the midst of adopting a puppy. She's a chihuahua/rat terrier mix named Lilo. But I'll probably rename her. And one of the names at the top of my list is Jaffe. I think that would be A.Dor.Able. Here she is: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23765077

I've always loved that song. I'm glad you finally have an appreciation for it. :) I had the privilege of hearing it live (they don't play it very often). That very last "I'm so sorry for everything" where he's raspier than usual is one of my favorite TN moments ever. :)
