bah! you kidding me? The sonic youth version is a mutilation of an amazing song... there are alot of good covers but there are also alot of horrible ones... the cover of can you please crawl out you window is so horrible. It resembles nowthing like the two Dylan versions I have. I know it's not meant to sound exactly like the originals, but holy crap it doesn't even sound like a song. The other covers of the lesser known songs are quite well done. Can't leave behind, is similar to the original in style but sounds much better, the original was a poor recording, I wanna be your lover and goin' to acapulco are well done. The best song on the soundtrack is by far The real version of I'm not there from the genuine basement tapes. But, as far as covers go, the Ramblin' Jack song is extremely well done, and fourth time around and just like a woman all great.
