i youtubed these and they are great, i've been meaning to check those out for a long time, but completely forgot, so thanks! not only is her voice great, but it's unique, she can blend it with distortion effortlessly, i love it. i think i'm going to eventually listen to her solo stuff, although i don't know if it's similar to Starship, which i wasn't so huge on

Glad you liked Aoxomoxoa... I think you'll become a hardcore Deadhead pretty quickly. Airplane fans are really primed for it. And thanks for the Manhole rec... yes I've heard it, but not in a very long time. I think I'll pull it out of the mothballs. ;-)

I'd be glad to... The Grateful Dead are a very easy listen for an Airplane fan. Try Live/Dead, Aoxomoxoa, or Anthem Of The Sun. All very psychedelic and Airplane-ish. Remember that Jerry played all over Surrealistic Pillow. As far as Zappa, your Tull roots will come in handy there. Try out Hot Rats, The Grand Wazoo, or Lumpy Gravy. All very progressive. FZ is all over the board. He played more genres of music than anyone I've ever found, and he played them all very well.
