Cool! The Gaslight Anthem were the starter of it all of course, they are today´s No.1 rocknroll band. Besides them, I´d like to write about some bands and musicians from the scene we might have not heard about here over the ocean, but you personally like and think are worth hearing... I´d definitely like to mention you :-) as I like your music, so I could imagine to use something like a brief portrait of you including your view of the scene. I guess this might be good extra stuff for the article. Generally you can write about whoever you want and whatever you want and it can be as long as you want. I may use everything or just parts of it though, it depends. If you won´t mind of course. Huh, is that understandable in any way?

Hey, I like your songs, Johnny! I am writing an article about The Gaslight Anthem and New Jersey music for a magazine, wouldn´t you like to participate in any way? I thought you could maybe write a few words about New Jersey shore scene today, the bands and musicians you like and think are interesting... It may be fine to have a peek inside which I couldn´t do as I am from Europe. If you feel like it of course.

I can hear in your songs that you're into springsteen and brian... aaaalooooot :) Keep up the good work! For the American Slang, I still don't like as much as sink or swim and senor... but I like it. We Did It When We Were Young blows my mind...

I really like it. It's more grown-up, in a way, and a LOT more Springsteen-eqsue (which I don't mind at all). Bring It On is definitely my favorite song, and I like that they've sort of varied their style. It doesn't quite measure up to the first two, but overall it turned out okay. Where in Jersey are you from?

Wow man, thanks for the add. I really really enjoy your music. Usually I ignore people posting their music on things, but I saw that your compatibility was SUPER so I figured that it might be worth the listen. Kudos man, I enjoy it a lot.

Hey John; thanks for the visit and the comment. I like THE BIG TO-DO a lot, too(more than I did at first listen), but I like a lot of DBT's other albums better.

No problem! And yeah, I think Diamond Church Street Choir is actually my favourite as well, along with Boxer probably. But they're all great, really.

I'm really liking it! Not as much as '59, but I expected that. Really love it, though; what are your favourite tracks so far? Also, I downloaded a couple of your songs, and they sound really great! I dig your voice and the lyrics. Keep up the good work :)

i'm digging it man - the lyrics are getting a bit repetitive, but '59 sound was kind of a letdown for me, this is definitely a step up. loving the guitar lines on here. thanks for the link to your stuff, i'll check it out

Haha you had me at Jersey Singer-Songwriter- Bruce is my all time favourite, and Gaslight are getting up there, especially with their incredible new album. I'll definitely check your stuff out as soon as I can be peeled away from American Slang

"American Slang" is easily Gaslight's greatest album yet. The lyrics are penetrating and the guitars are as memorable as a Stones' song. The vocalist gets better and better every year. It's definitely going into my rotation along with TCG, Lucero, None More Black, etc. They earned it.
