Hi Seth, I think I know what you mean about 'Zappa's' music; it's as if 'Zappa' was playing a joke on us. Also his guitar style is very odd to put it mildly; even now I wonder if he could really play the guitar! But I do like his Jazz compositions and the work with the 'Mothers' very much. Best wishes.

I first heard "Shiny Beast (Bat Chain Puller)" back in 1978, it was the only "Beefheart" album that I had heard at the time and it blew me away then and now! I have not listened to "Clear Spot' enough times to make a judgment on it, but do love "Doc at the Radar Station" and I like "Trout Mask Replica and "Ice cream for Crow". Kylie Minogue is hugely popular around the world, I suppose you would call her style "Electro Pop", If you don't like her there is another brilliant singer called "Gabrielle Cilmi, her style is sort of a "Pop-Jazz-Blues" influence. Kylie and Gabrielle both come from my home city of Melbourne. You have a wide interest in music: Seth, I think that's healthy!
