Blub, ik ben een vis (Help, I'm a fish!) is one of my top favorite songs by K3, and I love the video! (The one by K3) One of the finest pieces of Euro dance pop! I also like the Creamy version, which I have heard before. I think that K3 did a outstanding job on the cover version of this awesome pop song! It fits right into their other material from around the same time period I think, where you'd almost mistake Blub, ik ben een vis as one of their own songs. Plus, I just love the Dutch singing lyrics over the original English one's sung by K3. A big treat for me, everytime that song comes on my Ipod, or when I watch the K3 music video for it. =D Aw nice, you listened to two of K3's best albums, Tele-Romeo & Oya lélé! I always find it interesting when a last fm frien listens to one of my top favorite artists, whom they normally don't listen to. So what do you think of their music?

Well my Dad is in better care than what he was when he was staying closer in town at my local hospital but he has had people steal things from him several times. And it's actually mostly the employee's who steal stuff at the care center where he stays. But lately noone has stolen anything from him, so that's good. I think one of the people who stole something from him got fired, so I'm glad for that. Thank you for the concern, I appreciate it. You're right, I don't like Sabelle, but thanks for telling me about her. I expected her voice to be different. Strangely, she reminded me of this odd artist - Gala.

Bytheway, who is Sabelle? She is gorgeous! =]

I already checked out Hadise while I was on my female Turkish pop country check up and I didn't like her music, but thanks. Atiye by far, was the only female Turkish pop artist with a very different and unique style to her music. Even so, it was really difficult at first to get into her music and start listening to her albums. Probably because Atiye still has a very traditional Turkish sound to her music, like all of the others do. Even though Atiye is half Dutch and tries to incorporate other styles into her music, uncommon in other Turkish pop. Like this song, with a cool reggae sound to it. Lovely! :-) Hmm, that's weird that you received no notification on Spotify. Sure you're welcome. I get all of my artist news on Facebook. :-) Yeah, that's what I meant by clearing up on your profile. Although, I have done that and I have added a few new things to it.

Oh that sux :-/ Well maybe you will get to move in with her and if so that'd probably do some good for you. I know that it's hard to enjoy your music when your outside surroundings are complete rubbish. But nonetheless, music is still a good way to escape. At my house, I'm able to enjoy some time off from work today but I got my brothers and all of their stupid friends, banging on the floor and making a ton of noise, like usual. *rollseyes* Damn that sucks, yeah plumbers are so damn expensive. If only you could hire the Mario Bros for free. :-p My Dad's been in..not so good health, staying in a care center and I only get to see him once or twice every month, but we make the visits worth while and I can still call him whenever I want. I'm very sorry about your Dad Liz. I can't imagine the pain that you must be feeling from your loss.

Oh and Meja's new album was just released on Spotify & Itunes! :-) I heard some of it on Spotify last night and I think it's a nice new album but honestly I think her last album was better. That's just the vibe that I'm getting from her new album thus far. And I kind of expected that to happen, with her new direction in music n all. Oh well, this new artist that I rediscovered the other day has a album with the same type of acoustic pop setup and I actually found it more enjoyable than the former, but the name of that artist can't be revealed until the next LSC results show since I went ahead and submitted a track from that artist. (sorry) If you participate in the next LSC on Sunday, which will be a beta LSC with all Non-English songs, you will get to hear my submitted track.

You see, I submitted that Atiye track in the last LSC. I see that you did some cleaning up to your profile recently, so did I.

Hey Liz, I've been doing good, just continuing to discover new great artists, listening to lotz of music from my top regular favorites and working a lot in between. Most latest artist discovery - Atiye. A Turkish pop singer. This is a first for me, as I've never got into any artist from Turky before. I find the language to be interesting. It sounds kind of exotic and strange. I think that Atiye has a good voice and she sure is gorgeous! How've you been? Sorry to hear that your general life outside of music listening hasn't been too good for you. Have you done any traveling recently? Oh yeah I just did a temporary private view with my recent scrobbles because I didn't want anyone on the upcoming LSC show to perhaps get a hint of my secret artist submittion before the revealed results show of who submitted who. Since if found out, it would be breaking the LSC rules.

11,500+ listens of the band 'Ours'!? I have never heard of them, but how on Earth do you have the time to listen that often? lol More importantly, why are you not listed as their top listener?

So yeah, about half of the songs are from the download experiment. That's sort of disappointing. I guess most people probably don't have those download songs though since it was directly from her and only available for a short moment in time. So I guess it makes sense. But still... I was hoping for new material--especially since she made a big deal about it being with "The three" vrs just her own name. BTW... I re-tagged my files to exclude "Three" because I always hated that alternate band name. The music is still all about Juliana so it makes no sense to me. It's not like Blake Babies where that was John Strohm singing with her. Anyway, not to be negative. lol. It's still Juliana and I'll love it just the same no matter what.. :D

Hmmmm.... this new album, all she did is take some of those songs from the download experiment from a couple years ago and re-recorded them. I already have all these songs.... WTF!?!?!?!

I'd LOVE to see her live. Unfortunately, nobody in my neck of the woods cares about her to want to go with me to her concert. :/

Yep, it's supposed to be available to the pledgers, today. I'm thinking it has to be better than the last album considering it was the worst one she ever made.

Hey Liz, that's very cool of you to try an recommend me a female Dutch pop artist, as you know I love those but Sieneke was too generic for me and she sounded more like a average Lithuanian pop artist then a real Dutch pop artist. Your typical Lithuanian pop artist sounds like corny poka pop or like karaoke pop. If I come across an artist that I think you will like, I'll pass it along to you. So how have you been? I've just been working a lot and listening to music, the usual. :-) I discovered a new artist recently that I just love. Her name is Milli Moonstone.

No go on all three artists I'm afraid. The first two didn't have the kind of female voice that appeals to me and the third one had a nice voice that's more to my liking but her music was too general/average for my liking. Thank you a lot for sharing some more female artists with me though, I appreciate that!

Yellow Ribbon sounds like folk pop, which I think fits her voice good. I like blame it on the shadows better. Thanks for telling me, I knew YR was going to be Meja's next single but I didn't know that it was going to be released today. I think Meja is going to have a music video ready for the new song soon. Well "Ані Лорак" had a good voice (cool another female Ukraine singer!) but her music wasn't that impressive and I already checked out the other artist before and passed on her. Thanks for the recs though. :-) At least I did help introduce a new artist (band) to you with Nu Virgos.

À propos de moi

My username is taken from a lyric in Juliana Hatfield's "Get In Line"...and it's come to fit me ironically too well after randomly stealing it nearly a decade ago.

I'm obsessed with music and my taste is expansive. I don't like *everything*, but I'll try almost anything at least once. My other passion is animals. I'm vegan.

I struggle with chronic anxiety/fatigue/pain/depression.

I just want to send a shoutout to the memory of so many great musicians we've lost over the years. The list seems to be increasing more rapidly than ever and overall, music isn't what it used to be even as little as ten yeas ago. Gone but never forgotten, the classics, the songs that touch our heart, that bring back memories, that bring people together, will live on forever...
And to my dad, 1942-2013. :(. <3
