QUEEN OF EVERYTHING

Thu 12 May – Sara Bareilles Live In Jakarta

Objectively, it was easily THE BEST SHOW (yes, I just need to make em all caps) I've ever witnessed. (But subjectively, nothing compares Crystal Castles' in any way, I'm sorry Sara.)

Here's why:
• It had the most comfy venue, everyone was chilled and relaxed (less posers & hipsters lol), the crowd sat through the whole show (though me and my friends were standing up naturally when it came to Love Song and King of Anything) but it didn't make this concert any less fun.
• Sara Bareilles is a natural performer. She was flawless on the stage, musically and interactively. And the funniest musician!! You can see her twitter for the proof. She was VERY interactive (reminded me of the first gig I went to, Imogen Heap, but she's more quirky and this one's funnier) she even ruined (cutely) her Between The Lines by stopped in the middle and said "oh shit" because the song was not on her setlist but we screamed to make her play it lol.

So here's the setlist:
Kaleidoscope Heart. It wasn't played live but had a different sound from the album, more synthy and epic. I already screamed uncontrollably lol.
Uncharted. It was very out of this world. GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS SONG. I sang my heart out loud. Song of my life.
Fuck You. Just after one song and she already sang a cover, pretty surprising. Not really fond of the song, but since Sara who sang it, couldn't help it but singing along :B oh! I love how she started it with "anybody feel like saying bad words?!" God she's so funnehhh.
Gonna Get Over You
Single Ladies. Another cover. I was a bit lost at this moment. But hell, Beyoncé can just suck it.
Many The Miles. She was just SUPER COOL playing this song. Like a boss.
Hold My Heart
Basket Case
City. Another sentimental moment. This song means A LOT to me. I sang it religiously.
Bottle It Up
Love Song. Woot! Me and my friend were like the only ones who stood up in the back row and singing and dancing like crazy. Great time.
King Of Anything. The heat was just raising and raising, now a lot of people stood up whilst singing along. Magical.

Encore:
Let The Rain. Personal favorite out of her 3rd album. I'm so grateful she sang this. It was very overwhelming, got me teary a bit.
Gravity. Yes. THE shit. It was the first time I literally cried during a concert. Only Sara Bareilles did it to me.

I enjoyed every single fucking second of it. This concert was a perfect 10. It would be a perfect 10+ if she sang Breathe Again, though. But she knew everyone would kill themselves right away if she sang it lol (yep, the song is THAT lethal).

I love you to bits, Sara Bareilles. I do.
