I really don't understand why so many people can dislike Tales Don't Tell Themselves. I like screamo as much as anyone, but that record has some incredibly powerful moments. The storytelling and musicianship is far superior to anything else they've ever written. It floors me that almost no one else gets it.

I've had that happen to me before, I was looking at my friends' ipod and he had Cream. So I click it, and he only has Sunshine of Your Love. I don't understand how people can only have one or two songs on their iPods. I have an 8gb with whole albums, and absolutely no space.

and on a different note, what's a good place to start with The Prodigy? I've never listened to them, but I've been told I'd like them.

I thought it was good, but not great. I think at this point in their career it should be no surprise for a new NFG album to maybe be a bit repetitive, but they are still one of highest quality bands of their genre. And my top 2 are Catalyst and s/t in that order.

How about Decoder? They put out their debut earlier this year, and it's definitely one of my favorite releases of the year. Very atmospheric, and I like their vocalist a lot.

À propos de moi

eclectic (adjective) - selecting what appears to be best in various styles.

I know everyone says "I listen to lots of different music," but most of those people are full of it. I'm not saying I'm better than anyone, but I think I have a pretty wide range of tastes. I try to find and listen to music that I feel is memorable. There are lots of bands and artists who have a great sound, lots of talent, and are full of charisma. However, they just can't write memorable songs. Some are your standard radio rock and pop stars, some are your obscure indie artists, and some are in that middle of-the-road category. I just feel that people try too hard to be different or they don't try at all. I feel that musicians who avoid both of these pitfalls write the most memorable songs and therefore are the most enjoyable. I don't claim to have better taste in music than anyone. Music is subjective. What annoys one person is beauty to someone else's ears. I just try to find stuff that sounds good to my ears and warms my heart. And that's all I have to say about that.

P.S. Please do not add me if you're a band or a musician trying to use Last.Fm to advertise (spam) your music. I do not/will never care.
