Thanks a lot ;) I'll check the bands suggestions you gave me ... Yes, I know Warren Ellis just because of Grinderman but not much from Dirty Three. So, with your valuable help, it's time for me discover this new sonorities :)) You know, perhaps one of the most admirable and magnetic features about music: this possibility almost inexhaustible of discover new "stuff"... I think, in a certain way, it's something common to all forms of art ... Well, here I go again...writing much as always...I guess it's one "manufacturing defect" I have! :D Have a great week end

Hi Aarion...Everything ok with you? :) I would like to ask you a favor: when you have a little time, could you recommend me some alternative rock australian bands that are worth listening or, somehow, are a reference to your work as a musician? Thanks

Aarion Hey! I just heard "Old Man ". I was indeed impressed! I loved the pace and interpretation of the song to be on growing! We can see that you are very committed to the project. I may be wrong, but at the beginning of the song reminded me Nick Cave?! I made this association of ideas ... I do not know if it's an influence to your band. (I think it should be a reference for all bands! :)) Keep up such good work ...

Aarion, Hello! Honestly (and without any hypocrisy: D) I liked the sound of your band ! I do not think your sound "dated". I really liked the touch of the blues and authenticity of the sound ... We can see that you are musicians who love playing! It is this ability to transmit the pleasure of music when you play that is essential for the communication with the public. For the little I saw, I think you are on track! :) By the way, you do a lot of live performances? Only in Australia? Already showed your work to a publisher? (I know, I'm very curious, do not take it badly:))) I will continue to follow "Disciples of Zen" on "My Space ". Congrats!!

Hi Aarion! How are you? I'm glad you come back regularly to the last fm :) Excuse my (big) curiosity but I saw the link to the facebook ... So you're a musician, in "Aphelion" band? From what I read, there, your sound is melting .. metal, folk ... an eclectic sonority! Must be very interesting ... Where can I hear your music? On youtube? You know, I'm always looking for new music and different sounds! :))

look you're australian. wanna some folk music, start with xavier rudd ;-) kiddin'. well. it depends on what sort of blues do you like, i mean...rock blues, traditional chicago blues, more punkish, whatever. there are hundred of blues styles. i would recommend jon spencer and the blues explosion, though. blues+rock+punk. start with the cd 'orange' or 'acme plus'. jazz? i'm not much into jazz...

À propos de moi

Born in a Guatemalan jungle and raised by pidgeons my life took an odd turn at the age of 12 when my left thumb ran away to join the circus. Unable to give the double thumbs up in supplication to the baboon king any longer, I was driven from my forest home and forced to live among the ant-people of the savannah. I was miserable and dejected but fate smiled on me one day as the circus rolled through town and I was reunited with my long lost thumb. We reminisced for hours and eventually we tearfully swore never to be parted again and formed plans to move to adelaide and pack shelves at coles until our dying days.
