So now... A song must have 15 plays instead of 11 to get in the top 50, and a song must have 26 plays, not 21 to get in the top 25 (Better start listening to supporting tracks of Born to Die before they fall out!)

    Top 4 didn't move - not suprising.

Beware of maybe next time having Azealia Banks' "1991", Fiona Apple's "Every Single Night", Charli XCX's "You're The One" and Marina & the Diamonds' "Electra Heart"

My new single "Settled Down" out August.

  • Incomplete Best Songs of 2012

    19 mai 2012, 18h58m

Going to compile this list across the year of best songs of the year in alphabetical order. Restricted to six songs from one album, otherwise the fifteen tracks from Lana Del Rey's "Born to Die" will be the top ones.

NEW UPDATE 27th MAY: Gonna start "Big Updates" for lots of new additions and where they come from.
This week's new additions come from the amazing Eurovision 2012 won by Loreen with "Euphoria", six best new tracks on Pitchfork [not all included here], includes Baauer's amazing "Harlem Shake", and new singles on iTunes including fun.'s "We Are Young".
I was amazed at the standard of Eurovision this year - loved the Grannies though unfortunately I didn't think the song was good enough to make the list - though entries from UK, Albania, Iceland, Cyprus, Italy, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Greece, Sweden, Turkey, Malta, Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine and Moldova did. I'm amazed.
NEW UPDATE 2ND MAY: Did make an ordered one of this, but deleted it because its just so wrong. It's so hard to order. Shortlisted both of Charli XCX's other 2012 songs, plus '1991', 'Van Vogue' and 'Liquorice' (the new tracks off '1991') - completing off Azealia Banks' current six. Will add some more Eurovision entries this afternoon.

  • My Current iTunes Library.

    9 avr. 2012, 11h17m

I hate digital downloading. I lost a gigantic library. I also hate illegal downloading. I did it until about August 2011 last year, and now I don't own a current one in my libray. I buy CDs and get free legal downloads off Last.fm, Pitchfork, Soundcloud etc. because then at least I can replace them.

In my iTunes Library, any songs from a compilation or songs from an album I want one or two tracks from will go in a Spare Tracks album. If I have lots of tracks from different albums by one person, they will go in an album with spare tracks from them. Any EPs which have two tracks can stay as an EP.
I hate it when albums have really good singles, and then most of the rest is boring. I have a couple of albums where I have just kept the singles.
I also hate when albums have standard and deluxe editions, because I want every track. This is why I usually have the version of the album with the most tracks.
    KEY
Standard = a standard edition, when there is a deluxe
Deluxe = a deluxe edition, when there is a standard
No Writing = no deluxe, just one version of the album
