Certo che qui su last.fm l'indie non ce lo facciamo mai mancare!

A parte il fatto che, non so per quale motivo, ma il 90% degli artisti è taggato come indie…anche se fanno musica classica! E poi guardate QUESTA lista, sarà mai possibile che i Muse facciano dell'indie…per non parlare dei Cure o persino dei Sonic Youth!!!

…Comunque questo non è un problema, infatti si sa che chiunque suoni del simil-rock che non sfoci nel pop, alla fine fa dell'indie rock, bah!

Da quello che ho scritto finora sembrerebbe che io l'indie lo odi…e invece no, è uno dei generi che ultimamente preferisco.
Probabilmente da quando sono entrato in questa (mitica!) community ho scoperto almeno il 20% dei gruppi che ora ascolto e molti di questi rientrano proprio nel sopracitato genere!

Una cosa meravigliosa di last.fm è che qui dentro, alcuni gruppi hanno un successo completamente differente da quello che hanno nelle classifiche mondiali.
Mi spiego:

Prendiamo i Radiohead, io sono daccordo col fatto che siano una band fondamentale, che ha scritto la storia della musica e bla bla bla…e mi piacciono pure parecchio, ma com'è possibile che siano nei primi 2 posti della classifica di Last.fm da un anno!!! e il loro ultimo album risale al 2003! (hail to the thief)
Passi per i Coldplay, che stanno cavalcando le classifiche, ma artisti come The Postal Service, semisconosciuti al mondo, sono da mesi in testa alle classifiche di ascolto su last.fm (e sulla mia pagina personale)!

Tutto ciò è bellissimo!!!!

E lo dico sinceramente, questa community porta alla luce i gruppi che valgono veramente.
Nella chart Britney Spears o Robbie Williams non compaiono nemmeno nei primi 100 (non li ho taggati volontariamente).

Beh, spero che il concetto sia passato, ma sopratutto non vorrei aver offeso nessuno, il mio intendeva essere solamente un elogio a questo fantastico sito che è in grado di far emergere le band in base al loro valore e non secondo la casa discografica che li protegge.

Yeah, I see that here at last.fm we have a LOT of indie!

I don't know why, but 90% of artists have been tagged as indie…even though they play classical music!

…in any case, this is not a problem, I know that everyone plays similar-rock music not falling in pop,
in the end plays indie rock.(really??!!)

Reading what I wrote, looks like I hate indie, but it's not true, it's one of the genres I actually prefer.
Probably since I joined this (great!) community I founded like 20% of bands I listen to, and most of them take part of that genre!

A wonderful thing about last.fm is that here, some bands are successful differently on what happens in world charts.
I explain:

Look at Radiohead, I agree that they are a basic band, and "wrote hystory" of music and so on…and I like 'em very much, but how is it possible they are on the first 2 positions of last.fm chart for a year!?! And their last album goes back to 2003! (hail to the thief)
OK, for Coldplay: they are ridig charts, but musicians like The Postal Service, semi-unknown to the world, are for months on top in last.fm chart! (and also in my personal chart)!

I think this is beautiful!!!!

I'm saying sincerly, this community is a talent scout for bands that really worth.
In this chart Britney Spears or Robbie Williams are absent in 100 top positions (I voluntarily didn't tagged them).

Well, I hope my think is clear, but above all I hope I didn't offended anybody, I only want to congratulate with this fantastic site that shows band on the basis of the quality and not of the major thy own.
