To somebody whose read it, I doubt you sound like an obsessive freak, it's too layered and awesome not to be blown away by :)

Overqualified is really cool, because aside from being immensely well-written in Comeau's typically humorous yet achingly personal style, the way it plays with developing narrative threads through the series of stories - with considerable uncertainty at times as to what is meant to be real and what is fabricated - is really fascinating. It too me a long while to find too, but it was sooo worth it :) And yeah, Watchmen is just layers upon layers of awesome; I remember so distinctly lying on my bed, burning through the last 6 chapters and having my mind be blown apart by the wonderfulness; I'll definitely look into those others you suggested :)

Us asw fans are a spread out but devoted group :) Pretty much the most awesome of fanbases in my experience. Have you read Joey Comeau's new book, Overqualified? It's pretty great. Although it's also 94 pages, so you get to the end and it's like "...but...but... mooorrrrree..." I have not read Swamp Thing yet! :( ...accctually, I have to confess to only having read Watchmen so far but it is one of the most mind-shatteringly fantastic pieces of fiction I have ever consumed and I'll definitely be checking out more of his work in the near future.

... Your avatar is from A Softer World and your 'About Me' includes praise from Alan Moore. For these reasons I just generally approve of you as a person who exists. *high fives*
