Frédéric Chopin was an amazing artist. I believe he was a virtuoso piano player as well as an incredible composer and I have always absolutely loved his Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23.

I can't recommend it more highly. Approximately 9 and a half minutes of pure unbridled sonic bliss.

If only my hands could move like that.

I have always favoured the Vladimir Ashkenazy version that I know and love, but that's probably due to familiarity more than anything.
