Sorry for being out of the game for so long, I'm a month behind, I'll be catching up pretty soon. I've been going through some crazy things personally. The chart will not be featured at the old website address (I'm letting it expire) but the chart will be at the new website (the link is at the top of my lastfm profile). I'll keep you posted when the new charts will be up. Any new suggestions?

Hey, I've been having internet issues the last few weeks, but I'm planning to get caught up on the chart in the next week or so. The new Van Halen album is amazing, beyond my wildest expectations. Definitely up there with their original self-titled album and 1984! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the album!

So, finally my chart matches the actual week it is. Got a new chart up with the new Van Halen song. I'm happy to get new Diamond Dave music this year. I like Third Eye Blind...I underrated 3EB back in the day, but they were really one of the best bands of the late '90s. Not really a Rihanna fan myself...don't really know why, just doesn't appeal to me (never charted a song of hers despite her popularity). As I'm growing older, I appreciate different eras of music for what they bring to the table. I'll always rank '80s as my top decade, but I like '60s music all the way to today, and each era had its own unique sound. Even if what's on top of the charts doesn't get it right, doesn't mean good music didn't exist from that time. I think we're living in a good age where we can at least access all the music across the globe and not be dependent on radio stations or MTV to find good music. I can't wait to hear the VH album. Devo had the comeback in 2010, Cars in 2011, and now VH in 2012!

What can I say, man? Life has got busy in the last few months! I probably won't be coming back to the chart until the end of October. Good thing I was so far ahead on the dates! I won't ever stop the chart if I can help it. I've already invested almost 13 years into it. Still listening to music, but I haven't really checked out the most recent music. My chart is back! I don't know why it took so long, but it ended up being a 4-week hiatus. I think this chart breaks the record for most debuts, so there's lot of songs to check out, including some of the ones you already suggested.

Hey man, I've been a little burned out on my chart, and sorry for not responding as fast as I usually do. I'm not sure when I'll upload the next chart, but I'm sure I'll catch up in the next few weeks. I've been listening to old favorites in the meantime. '80s rock never lets me down, never. Yeah, those Blood on the Dance Floor titles are ridiculous. I like the new one because it has a good new wave vibe. "Howlin' For You" is great ... it's up for the video music awards so let's hope it wins. I haven't heard those new ones you've suggested in the past few weeks, but I'll get to them before I work on the next chart. If you have more, post them because I'll probably refresh the chart with a lot of debuts the next time out. And yeah, still waiting on Van Halen. They could've had a long career of hits like Aerosmith or the Rolling Stones, but they blew it with so many lineup changes. I like both the Diamond Dave and Hagar eras, and they haven't done anything big since 1992. Frustrating!

I've been taking a break from a chart but I posted a new one today. I actually compiled the current one a couple weeks ago, so some new songs won't be on it yet. I found a lot of new groups over the weekend and they may be showing up on the chart soon. Thanks for the recommendations. Friendly Fires, Blue Cassette is great, I agree.

I agree with your viewpoint on 2011 so far. Returning artists have been doing well, but there hasn't been many new bands to get into. I am excited to hear what Red Hot Chili Peppers is going to come up with. They usually take a long time between albums, but they deliver when they do. And the 3 Doors Down album coming out in a few weeks. Even if 2011 isn't up to par, there's so much music from the past that delivers, so there's never a lack of good music to listen to.
