Have you heard? Newman and Giacchino are both up for 4 films to be considered for Oscar Nomination. I'm so happy.

generally on last.fm i thought it was commonly agreed to go through one's/another's play history in order to find this stuff out, but YES! I have listened to the Adjustment Bureau. Not his best, but it's quite fantastic. There are a few recurring themes which I wish would come back. This soundtrack is a little more ambient than it is actually tuneful. Which is nice, sometimes. The chords aren't as orgasmic (for me) as they usually are, but it's a pretty decent soundtrack. And I'm still true to the fact that Newman should have won an oscar/grammy for Wall-E. Fo' Sho'/

See it's weird I haven't even seen Road to Perdition, but I know the tracks really really well - that's the thing with Newman's music tho - you don't need the movie to understand the music. Mine is probably Define Dancing from Wall-E, or The Turtle Lope from Finding Nemo. Both very warm, and lovely. :)

I did not know about the interrail tour! I so want to do that! :D Grizzly Bear blew me away at Coachella so I really want to see them, I''m hoping they'll do at least one song together, that would be amazing. Yeah, I talked to them for an hour or so since my brother and I were the only ones waiting for them after their show and I did talk to them in French! :D They said I spoke it well, and I was surprised that I didn't get nervous around them. My brother who didn't care much about them before seeing them perform got super nervous. haha. xD I'm currently attending San Diego State University. :)

I won't be going anywhere overseas. :( My dad called the airline and they gave him an extension so he's going to use up his points next year when they drop me off in Paris. haha. I want to go to the Los Angeles gig so bad, my dad doesn't want me to go since I'm going to the San Diego one but I want to see their first big venue show in the US. I don't care if I sit in the back, I just want to be there. :) Really? I hope I get the historic building then. haha. Ahh.. I see. Some American campuses are really nice and some are not so nice, it all depends on how expensive the school is. haha. Mine is pretty but I wouldn't say beautiful, some buildings are old and the newer ones look completely different.

Internship in London, sounds very promising, what will you be doing? Tell me if you want of course. Well going to London is travelling kind of except you'll probably be wearing less comfortable clothes and getting up much earlier every morning. South America and Cambodia, interesting combination, how did they meet? Families long lived in France? Wow , you must be able to speak a lot of languages. Hope you get the chance to travel to both places. Hmm, that's too bad, the weather, my friends will be leaving in the next couple of days I think, maybe the sun will come out at least once. The winter here is not that bad, right now it's 11 degrees and it's 6 in the morning, doesn't feel that cold.

That's great! I'm very happy for you! Congratulations! Take you out for a celebratory dinner, but pretty sure you've already done that. Oh, I love anonymity, you don't have to ask any questions. I'm studying, used to work... remember that friend of mine who was going to Europe (Paris, Rome etc), well she left last week... prob in Amsterdam now, soon, maybe next week in Paris, your city. They want to go to many places, fill up their itinerary, me, I think i'd just be too in awe that I'd just wonder around staring at things, listening to people talk and touching the walls of buildings. Hope you're enjoying what must be beautiful weather right now!

We have crossed off Paris from our list since its too expensive right now and I'll be going there next year anyways. :) Madrid would be amazing and I think my dad is leaning towards Madrid right now. Aw, I hope you get to see Phoenix soon. No, they usually play small/medium sized venues here but this September will be their first time playing a big venue in Los Angeles. :) No, not yet but I think I'm going to pick the Sorbonne (Paris IV) since I've heard nothing but good things about it. I don't think I'll be disappointed, it will be a nice change from American universities. Our universities are really laid back, I think it makes us look a bit lazy. haha.

No problem! :) I think we're going to do a little traveling this summer, I'm not sure where but we're brainstorming places right now. My dad brought up Madrid and Paris, I would go to Paris but I'm very biased. haha. Good luck on your mémoire! I still don't have tickets for the Phoenix show but tickets always get released the week before the show so I'm going to buy them then. My exchange year in Paris is next year, August 2011-May 2012. :) I'm saving up to go to some gigs in Paris. :D

Yeah, 'Pardon my French' is said either before or after you swear... although I don't think people say it that much these days. Peripatheticienne, love it! The dead keep working... something to look forward to, and here I thought death was romantic. Hope any tests you had went well.

Ha, so that's why they say pardon my French! Actually, you know that documentary on Paris the host said the word 'prostitute' in French had so many alternatives so it's not surprising that you have a plethora of swear words to choose from. Yeah, Fuck tends to be the go to word for swearing in English, not much variety, must be so much fun to swear in French. Now if I go to Paris I have someone who can teach me all the fun words. Ah, if your going to swear, swear in French! Hmm, I think you're saying you love the philosophic quotes, very idealistic and poetic, on the side of my page and you are asking where they come from... They come from Godard's 'Masculin Feminin'. Actually the line 'le travail humain d'entre les morts' literarily translates to 'the human work between deaths', is that what it means?

non, non! On a woman there is no better accent. Well I have mimicked Peter Sellers Clouseau accent, but that's an Englishman doing a French accent, when I try to copy someone who actually speaks French it's really to have fun trying to speak like that, which I can't at all. Wow, an American Architecture firm's textbook, that's great, you're a published photographer! Congratulations! The arial Grenoble? It is an amazing shot. Good luck with the exam Liz, I'm sure you'll do fine... I can just think of you swearing in French in your head when you have ten minutes left and your rushing to finish your final answer, 'merde! Vite! Vite!' It's a lovely accent.

Loove the French accent, so sexy, oui? I'll let my friend who is going to Paris know about the 10th, 19th and 20th arrondissement. Used to smoke, not so much now, but even when I did, I was like you, just a couple a day, unless it was a particularly sleepless poetic tortured kind of night. Thanks for accepting! My pictures are not much, haven't added many recently either, but hopefully will soon. Your photos are great tho, love looking at Paris, plus I get to see Melbourne. Merci Mademoiselle for adding me!

Oh, yes, maybe that's why, Sandrine Voillet, spoke English (although with a wonderful French accent). I haven't seen New York I love you. Hmm, tho I love New York (never been there of course) I think almost always, Paris will beat NYC when it comes to a collection of cinematic stories. Really? The 10th is dodgy, it's so funny, everything in Paris looks glamorous to me, but of course it can't all be. I do love beautiful things, but If you can't enjoy things without luxury, then what's the point of it all. One day at the Cafe procope, one day... Not a typical Parisian, does that mean you don't smoke? Liz, I do not have many photo's there but I am going to add you on flickr. Feel free to accept or decline.

Really, that's funny I thought Sandrine Voillet was reasonably well known in France. The documentary was very insightful, talks about the culture and history of Paris. I know! I loved the part with Buscemi especially when the guy on the other side of the train tracks looks at him and Buscemi reads that you should never make eye contact, and when the girl is suddenly sitting right next to him. I felt so sorry for him tho, it was so sad when the guy emptied all his shopping bags. All the parts were lovely, not sure which would be my favorite, but I loved the buildings in the Natalie Portman part, they reminded me of Yamakasi. I love that I know someone, albeit online, who goes to the Cafe Procope, even if the chandeliers are too huge. Ohh, another cafe to look up, the cafe de flore, thanks, i'll check it out. It's great that you don't need things that are too over the top, every place is glamorous with the right company.

Hey Liz, I haven't shouted you in awhile! Keep forgetting. I've been reading up on the arrondissements and was watching this wonderful documentary on Paris by Sandrine Voillet. Watched Paris Je t'aime. I feel so sorry for Steve Buscemi! Is Easter a big deal in Paris? If so, hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.

I took a look at some picture of Shakespeare and Co and oh wow, I'd love to go there! I've never heard of the word 'arrondissements' before but I will look it up and the way the 7th and the 15th belong to different streets... or what you said. Oh, I borrowed 'Paris Je T'aime' and plan to watch that on the weekend, can't wait to see Paris filmed by so many different directors.

I agree, I think Hamlet started out pretending then because of things heppening around him and his own actions, he went mad for awhile then sobered up towards the end. I haven't seen the sequal to before sunrise, but I might now just to see the place you mentioned. It's strange you mention how odd the Australian states are divided, cos I've naturally always consderd it normal and found the way other places around the world are divided strange.

My favorite Shakespeare play is Hamlet as well. It is such an incredible play. Merchant of Venice was the first of his I read and the first I loved but Hamlet just drowned me in it's story. Ha, ironically they put Before Sunrise on tv tonight. Nope never been to NZ. Australia can't compare with Europe for traveling. For instance I traveled by rail from Western Australia to South Australia, the journey takes about three days across the Nullarbor desert, the view from the train largely consisted of this http://www.flickr.com/photos/polapix/522254625/ with the occasional kangaroo, eagle and small town. It was beautiful in its own right, especially at sunrise and sunset and the vastness of the country can really be felt... but Mozart wasn't born along the way and you can't make a short stop to see the Danube or the colosseum. Hey, always curious... do you think Hamlet was crazy, pretending or was pretending then lost it along the way?

Love Shakespeare! Do you ave a favorite Shakespeare play? Jane Austen is wonderful so are the Bronte sisters. I haven't read Orwell and only a some of Wilde's stuff... hmm, I like the English romantic poets. I'm reading a book on Mary Shelly, but I haven't read 'Frankenstein'. Wow, New Zealand.. always wanted to go there, so green. Yeah, 'before sunrise' sort of stuff, ride the eurorail and jump from Vienna to Milan to Paris, you been all over Europe? Just my luck to live on a country that is a continent...

It is a pretty thick book, some of it in French I think. The Age of Enlightenment, 'le siècle des Lumières', in English it sounds so forceful, in French so romantic. Really? Which English writers do you like? I've moved a lot, but I wouldn't call that traveling. How about you? A jet setter?

Oh, that's good, I thought it was so exclusive. I've read Candide but that was just for fun, never studied French literature in School. I have a book on French literature in the 18th century but never read it. How bout you with Voltaire? Oh, by the way, a friend invited me to go to Paris! Of course I can't afford it, but it's amazing to be asked. Hey, I'm going to add you as a friend.

Haha, 'mignon/mignonne', got it. Oh, wow, le café procope, what an incredible café. Just read that Voltaire drank forty cups of coffee a day there, which he mixed with chocolate. Thanks for telling me the name. On the café website there's a section for Réservation... you need to make a reservation to go there? Even during the day??

Sorry, I was meant to ask, what are you a huge fan of (a particular TV show?)? Film scores ay? WOW! Any favourites? Hmm, I don't really have any hobbies. I've always been into photography (like the rest of the world LOL) but I'm taking it a little more seriously now, as in I'm trying to take as many photos as I can with every single camera I own (I try to rotate).

Haha, thank you, you are very sweet, 'très doux!' (d'accord, not sure if that's right). I have been to England but never to the main European continent. Would love to go. Paris the first stop. I was watching a documentary on Paris a while ago and the woman talking stopped in a café, it was a famous café, very historical, with many famous politicians and poets having stopped there, I think even Benjamin Franklin.. I'm sure Paris has many famous old cafés but do you have any idea which cafe it might be? I think of it and hate that I can't remember. I think it had a very short name.

It was such an awesome show! Karen O is amazing!! I ended up meeting a friend but was separated from her & I ended up staying with her cousin who I just met. So it was alright. But I think from now on I will just go alone if no one wants to come. I don't want to miss out on any shows anymore. Oh thank you =) I don't use tumblr often, but I've developed a horrible sleeping pattern. Haha same!! I have so many accounts, 5 that I normally go on. & having the internet on my phone doesn't help!!
