Midnight at the Black Nail Polish Factory – The Deathray Davies
I heard this album a few years ago and fell in love with it, but the only song that I purchased at that time was Dominique. I really shouldn’t have waited so long.
B.R.M.C. - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
I owned half of this album though free (possible illegal) downloads for many years. The newly purchased version is so much of an improvement; the songs were much better than what I have previously known. Isn’t funny how a slightly higher bitrate can affect a song.
Siberia – Echo and the Bunnymen
I first heard about Echo and the Bunnymen when Wayne Coyne of the Flaming Lips mentioned them in an interview. On that mention, I downloaded Flowers and instantly loved the album. Now I’m hoping that Siberia will be just as good. So far, I’m not terribly impressed. I am also planning on getting some of their earlier material so recommendations are welcomed.
The World Turned Upside Down – Coldplay
Coldplay; some people hate them, and some people love them. I tend to be the latter, but I can understand how Chris Martin can be considered annoying. I found this song as a b-side to Fix You, and it sounded interesting enough so I downloaded. The song starts off slowly with weak lyrics, but when the drums kick in around the 50-second mark and the song gets more exciting.
