Die Katze heißt Beule :-) Ich hab noch nen Kater names Jimmy. Das reicht dann auch an Haustieren. Joa, das hat sie schon verkraftet. Ich hoffe den Kleinen gehts gut im neuen zuhause. Und Oaksenham hab ich auf meinen "Länderstreifzügen" entdeckt. Manchmal suche ich mir irgendein Land der Erde aus. Und dann mal gucken, was dort für Perlen zu finden sind. Das war mal wieder ein schöner Glücksgriff. Ich fühlte mich für Stunden von engelsgleichen Tönen umgeben :-)

Nein, ist es nicht. Nur zwei Songs ;-) Und die von Gentle Giant, genau. Desweiteren soll es wohl passagenweise bekannte Momente geben, aus der Musikhistorie geklaut. Angeblich würde man das nur unterbewusst wahrnehmen. Ich finde die Instrumentierung aber einfach toll. Freut mich, dass es Dir gefällt. Noch mehr freut mich, was gefunden zu haben, was Du noch nicht kanntest ;-) (Ha!)

Phideaux was a good rec, but the others will have to wait for me a little bit longer:) as for The Fall of the House I've heard about it but I still don't have it (I even read the story by Poe). I hope I'll hear it one day, though there are still many other albums by Hammill that I haven't heard. I've been failing to listen to him recently... but I know this is only a short break, because he's still my favorite artist (though I like Hammill solo a little bit less than VdGG as a whole).

Ok, I did it. I listened to Doomsday Afternoon:) and I don't regret, so thank you:) I don't know why, but I didn't expect it to be a concept album, so it was a nice surprise. even a nicer surprise was for me a reference to the VdGG's Lemmings in Microdeath Softstar. lyrics like "all we need is time" and rather-pessimistic-but-not-completely-hopeless message remind me so much of VdGG and Lemmings. to say something about music itself I'll have to listen to it one more time, but in general I like it.

I only listen to entire albums. Artists usually thought about the order of their songs on an album and I want to experience what the artist prepared for the listener.
Try to stop seeing music as a field of competition. It does not matter that some music is more complex or less repetitive than another one. The only thing that matters is that you listen to the music you like.
