Looks are everything! Don’t you believe? If someone asks me to eat algae, cold rice and raw fish I would say: No thanks. But if you artistically arrange these ingredients as a nice Sushi I could eat it and enjoy.
At least with music we have choice ( I don’t think eat blind folded is an option), you can listen just to the music or you can watch it live or as a video.
That’s my main concern with punk rock, you see, its just basic rock with nasty lyrics. I like to listen to some, as long as I don’t have to look at the band, they are all very ugly. Of course going to a live concert would be a very bad idea.
The opposite is also true. I never gave too much attention to Pink. But the first time I saw her perform I was impressed. Besides her not being ugly, she has a very strong stage presence. So, I got to listen to some his songs and, well, that’s not bad. Her rendition of A little Piece of My Heart, is very good. That is a song that was performed by many artists, and Janis Joplin rendition is the best in my opinion.
I was wondering… Did Elvis Costello marriage Diana Krall because she is beautiful or because she is an excellent singer?
