Ok, so you're way more reasonable than I first thought, thanks. :) (I first thought you just wanted to troll around.) Although I can share quite a lot of your opinions this is simply a matter of personal preferences, I'm sorry. Most of my tags "drown" in the mass of global tags used for a specific artist/album/track, and "Storm of Capricorn" may just be one of the few esceptions because it's not so well-known. Apart of that, I, personally, DO enjoy some personal tags created by other people, and I even use some of those for my own library. So I fear you just have to try to ignore them.

I'm forced to watch a sad kitten in my shoutbox. Who saves me from that?

Oh, don't worry, we all shout in our own boxes sometimes.

Also: I had personal tags that are used nowadays by about 50 other people. Will you blame me for "creating" them - or all the others individually for using them? Or both, even? And what's with tags in foreign languages? You don't understand them, and thus they shouldn't be used? Or tags like "ICA". People who don't know that it means "integrated contemporary avantgarde" might be irritated if they see it. You can't expect that people only use English "global tags" describing genres in a community as big as this.

Egregious. I didn't know this word before and it's quite nice. And as it means "ungeheuerlich" in German… You see, I think you have a rather essential problem with tagging in general. I can see your point when it comes to understanding certain "personal expressions", so to speak. But what's with tags like "beautiful" or "seen live"? Those are MASSIVE - and nonetheless absolutely useless except for each individual user. Your arguments also apply there… But maybe you aren't offended by them simply because they are more common.

Hahaha, I'm sorry, but I just have to take that as a compliment.

Do the tags interfere your musical everyday life in any way? No.
