Usher has made a very mature sounding return to form on the Diplo produced Climax.(yes I'm scratching my head on that one too) Its a rNb-tronica hybrid that's lightly steeped in some post dubstep glory without going gonzo.
A soaring falsetto of heartache wrapped around a minimal arrangement pad of synths, stuttering 808 snares and a dubstep synth that never wobbles (thank god)
Some are comparing it to The Weeknd. But if that means atmospheric, moody well produced rNb music, well I'm on board.
If Drakecan snag Jamie xx, why can't Usher go above and beyond. Its certainly better than the fun but cheesy Taio Cruze chasing of DJs Got Us Falling In Love Again
