    Yeah great show, I was to the right side of the stage, up stairs. Great view. Enjoyed Matts jaunts into the crowd....They know how to rock.....Perfect venue too.....Forum would've been too sweaty to appreciate The National 'sound'......

    Did you ever like The Gun Club? Loved them at the time, then forgot about them. Downloaded some stuff last year and it was even better than I remembered it.

    Yeah - exactly the same kind of throwback for me too. Mostly a nostalgia trip, though Romeo's Distress still sounds great. I only got into Sonic Youth very recently, friend took me along to their gig at the Scala. Amazing, can't believe I ignored them for 25 years.

    OK, when I said yesterday that I had no idea of your musical taste, clearly I'd forgotten that we're friends on Last.fm. Medium compatibility, apparently: "Music you have in common includes The Cramps, Sonic Youth, Christian Death, New Order and Plastikman." Interesting list. Must play some Plastikman immediately, not listened for ages.

    it's unfair to new bands, because i compare everything to the national now(for the past 3 years)... and you know what? nobody quite measures up... maybe it's the music, but i thinks it's mostly the brilliant lyrics.
