Happy 9th scrobbling anniversary today! ... How fast time pulled ahead listening to your 180k scrobbles ... May you experience many more such musical cake days, and many fascinating music moments in the years to come ... What do you fancy most about lastfm nowadays ( and what did you like when you joined us nearly a decade ago) ? ... P.S. Here's an anniversary present for you (e.g. available spotify/youtube): ... the term "dokuz" is Turkish and means: 9 :-) ... genre: minimal/experimental -> ... "Dokuz" (this track has 141 beats per minute): ... https://www.last.fm/music/Erkan+Y%C4%B1lmaz/_/dokuz -> this is from album ('violin edition (album #1)') ... btw: here in Germany the government renewed the action steps against Corona disease, yet once more again. Is this same at your place, Abby ?

Happy 2019 from very freezing Germany, Abby, it's wonderful to know you are being here at lastfm for longer than 7 years by now :-) ... When you look back on all that time period: how did your musical voyage progress over time? ... I am wishing you all the magnificent music in reaching your **161k scrobbles, and 1666 artists scrobbled milestones** ... How I came by here? ... lastfm shows you at #9 position in this weekly "Discovery Leaderboard" stats: last DOT fm/user/plabflor/listening-report/week ... I am at #2 there ... nice to meet you

I haven't listened to his album yet, I should get round to it. My friend who I'm going with is a fan so I may end up seeing him regardless. I really enjoy the new MBV album- works a lot better with headphones

Thanks! I first saw JAMC on that line-up and was convinced I'd go purely for that reason, then I suddenly saw all these other amazing bands and didn't have an excuse not to.

Listened to TOTBL- loved it, plus the demos and B-sides! Moving onto Antics today

Oops- just realised it is Antics and not TOTBL that I own! I like it. I downloaded the reissue of the latter to listen to later. How did you find/ get Jim to add you on Facebook? That's cool! I'll try the same... I saw JAMC live twice in 2007/8. They were incredible. I managed to get a setlist. I'm so envious how they're touring pretty much the whole of the USA these past few years and not a single UK date in 5 years!

Oh cool, I'll do the same and listen to Given To The Wild. The latest Cribs album is awesome, not to sound biased. I really enjoyed Total Life Forever- it surprised me as I really disliked their debut. Looking forward to the new one. I'll have to give Interpol another listen- my friend bought me their album and I enjoyed it, but only gave it the one playthrough...

I still haven't listened to that album- I saw them at Reading after the release of Wall of Arms and they were pretty good. I'd say mine is The Cribs' 'In The Belly of The Brazen Bull', my favourite band if you couldn't tell ;) I saw them tour it 5 times this year and it was brilliant. Even though it came out the very end of last year, I've listened to Los Campesinos!'s 'Hello Sadness' most of all. And yeah, if reissues count then definitely Blur's 21, love going through that in chronological order!
