I like your recent listening, bro. Your top QOTSA track though, that's a little crazy, mate. :P

If you're interested in another almost rock 'n roll song before rock became mainstream in the '50s, check out "Roll 'Em Pete" by Big Joe Turner. He recorded it in the late 1930s.

When I said "pre-rock era", I was talking about music prior to 1954. Rhythm and blues went mainstream in 1954 and 1955. "Rock Around The Clock" was the first rock and roll record to make it to #1 on the pop charts. I understand what you mean about rock being an attitude, but you should also listen to "My Daddy Rocks Me" by Trixie Smith from the 1920s. That's an even earlier meaning of the word "rock"...

I noticed that you have a large collection of Loved Tracks and I thought you might be interested in a script that automates the process of adding them to a specific playlist in iTunes - here (more people should know about it). :)

À propos de moi

Another day in paradise. I haven't had this much fun since ... yesterday.
I was born in Michigan, and I'll die here. Water is the new oil.

If I had to pick one thing that humanity does really well (besides war) I'd have to say: MUSIC.

I'm a bass player by nature, and by inclination. Also love to drum, play guitar, sing, or even shake a tambourine if that's what the song demands!

I like what I like; I don't care what you label it.

When it comes to musical taste, it's all opinion, subjective. To each his or her own.

Check out Pale Grey Sky and Rocky and the Dilettantes.
