    Hey, sorry for answering so late. I've hardly used my PC the last couple of days. Alright, that sounds awesome! Is your work something school-related then? Is DC any good concert-town? No, I'm good :) Gonna take a year off from school, then work. Do a little bit of travelling (can't get enough!). Plus I can't decide what to major in, this shit's hard....

    I'm really glad that you enjoy Scriabin; I don't know of many other people who do. Horowitz's recordings of his pieces are immaculate. I only recently discovered Scriabin's music, but I grew to love it in no time. So many great Russian composers from the late Romantic and 20th century periods.

    Yeah, Bartok is easily one of my favorite composers. Everything I have heard by him is really impressive. I really enjoy Dinu Lipatti's performances of Chopin's 14 waltzes.

    I think I've heard of Ascension before. I have a huge appreciation for music that is best listened to in a bone yard at night. If they're along those lines, I should love it. I haven't listened to Miraculous Mandarin yet, but I'm on a Bartok streak right now, so that should be changing shortly.

    That's a shame that it turned out to be such a disappointment. I never got into Bruckner. That Bartok concert should be amazing, though. Which compositions are they performing?

    It looks like I'll be going to the Saturday gig. I'll be buying my ticket Monday or Tuesday; I'd hate to miss Horna, Tsjuder, and Morbid Angel. P.S. I'm glad to see that you're listening to Blut Aus Nord; pretty much everything they've released has impressed me, whether it was their grim, creepier early works, such as Ultima Thelée and Memoria Vetusta I, or their mid-era and later albums that have so many industrial elements.

    I don't think I can make it because of transportation issues, but I'm really not happy about missing the Saturday date (Morbid Angel, Tsjuder, Winter, Horna, and Archgoat). I'll try to find some way to make it, though. If not, I'll definitely be going in 2013.

    I haven't heard of that book; I'll look into it. Most of Nietzsche's works are short, but they are really dense; it's pretty much impossible to get through them without rereading parts. I won't really have the time to read independently until next summer.

    I would consider writing professionally if I got the chance; I do really well on papers and I'm obsessed with philosophy and literature. I really need to start thinking about jobs, considering that I'll be done with school at the end of June. Have you read anything by Nietzsche?

    Do you get to listen to music at work? I'm still not sure what I'll be doing in a few months; hopefully something where I won't be sitting behind a desk all day. I listened to one Venetian Squares song last night; I enjoyed it. I'll have to listen to some of his other material.
