So, as we all know, Michael Jackson, a celebrity known
for dancing and having had the worst chirurgical job of all celebrities has left us.
Sure it's sad for his family members, his manager, whoever was really his fan
(If pop singers even have fans)
But now it's been about 2 weeks and people are still talking/whining about it
EVERYWHERE.
Turn on your TV, you hear Michael Jackson every 2 minutes.
He suddenly has thousands more listens on this site, people whining
all over the internet about how much they "miss him", others pretending
to have been lifetime fans popping up out of nowhere and writing foot-long
texts about how huge of an influence he was in their life?
What the fuck is wrong with society?
It's like a gigantic tidal wave of Michael Jackson hype is spreading!
Celebrities who accomplished much more die all the time, but this is
clearly a case of extreme media hype.
The mass is moving in an extremely scary direction.
Not that I want to seem pessimistic, but the way society treats such a thing
makes me wonder if the media won't cause some sort of apocalypse soon.
We just might see riots of Michael Jackson zombies killing innocent people
"for his sake" in a couple days at this rate…
Can't help but be annoyed the millions of Michael Jackson dancing animated gifs
that seem to represent half the avatars uploaded on the entire world wide web this week.
Some last.fm mods seem to be controlling the MC shoutbox so that only
the mass of "worshippers" may post their crazy whining, saying negative
comments should be posted as journal entries…
No force in the world is strong enough to stop this whole phenomenon from evolving
into a crazy worship.
Medieval times anyone?
